MacBreak Weekly 325: Calm Down. Have a Cookie.

Sarah Lane once again fills in the cruising Leo Laporte, and talks iPhone 5s rumors, the future of the iOS Home screen (Springboard), HTC and Apple's patent deal, and more, with Andy Ihnatko, Jason Snell, and yours truly.

My pick of the week was Clear for Mac.

And if you were wondering what I was talking about in regards to Springboard, make sure you listen to Debug.

MacBreak Weekly 325: Calm Down. Have a Cookie.

@Rene: First off, I have to say that Rene Richie's addition to Macbreak Weekly has reinvigorated my interest in the show. Leo Laporte became an android apologist years ago, Andy Inhatko has joined Leo and gets more and more critical of Apple every show, and Alex Lindsay is barely on the show anymore. This is an Apple show, and Rene has balanced things out so that it isn't just a bash apple hour. I hope you are a permanent addition to the show!

That said, I couldn't help wonder what you meant when you coyly said "there are big changes coming to Springboard...I'll leave it at that." Do you know something or am I reading too deeply into this?

-Dr. Brad

Listen to the first episode of Debug (linked above), Guy talks about the decoupling of Springboard and what it means for iOS.
