To celebrate Earth Day, Apple is transforming its retail stores with a hint of the green. As seen in photos obtained by Appleinsider, the leaf on the Apple logo has been turned to green while store colleagues have all been given special, green t-shirts to wear for the day.

Mailbox 2.0 brings Auto-swipe, Dropbox sync, and more!

Mailbox, the smart email app now owned by Dropbox, has been updated to version 2.0 and it brings with it a couple of notable improvements. Namely, Auto-swipe lets Mailbox try to learn from your gestures in order to predict your common actions. And, of course, Dropbox now handles all the heavy storage and syncing lifting. With Christian Bale and David Fincher off the rumor mill for the Aaron Sorkin-penned Steve Jobs movie room has opened up for Leonardo DiCaprio and Danny Boyle. Sorkin and Fincher had previously worked together for Social Network and although there doesn't seem to be any Sorkin/Boyle connection, DiCaprio and Boyle previously worked together on The Beach (I don't remember it either).

Apple seeds OS X 10.9.3 beta: Developers, come get you some

Apple has posted the new beta of OS X 10.9.3, build 13D45a for registered Mac developers to test. This is pre-release software covered by a non-disclosure agreement, so we're not going to post the details of the new build, but rest assured that major bugs and gripes will be addressed.

We have no idea when we'll see the update for Mavericks, but we expect it soon. If you're a developer in good standing, high-tail it to the Apple Developer Center and start poking around.

Netflix to increase streaming prices for new customers

Netflix has released their Q1 2014 earnings report today, and bundled deep in the news about numbers and dollars is a short paragraph about pricing.

Later this quarter, Netflix plans to increase prices for new streaming customers by $1 to $2 more per month. Current subscribers will continue to pay what they're paying ($7.99 here in the states) for a "generous time period."
