How to unsubscribe from a shared Photo Stream on iPhone and iPad

iCloud Photo Sharing lets you share photos with other people and also lets them share photos with you. The downside is, of course, you might discover you're not really interested in that many photos from that many people, and the notifications that go with them. In that case, you can easily remove yourself from any shared Photo Stream in just a few taps.

The case for a 'Safari view controller' for iOS 9

Web views are an incredibly convenient way to handle in-app browsing. Since they're WebKit, you get the same kind of experience and performance as Safari, but you don't have to send people hurtling out of your app and into Safari simply to show them a link. However, web views can't store cookies, so logins can't persist, and having to login to a web view isn't good from a security perspective anyway. So what's the solution?

Instagram adding verified accounts, dropping the hammer on spam

Instagram has crossed the 300 million active monthly users line and is today adding support for verified users to the square photo social network. That 300 million threshold actually puts Instagram as having a larger monthly audience than Twitter, certainly explaining why Facebook was willing to pay $1 billion for the service.
