Would you switch from AT&T to a Verizon iPhone?

Would you switch from AT&T to a Verizon iPhone?

Would you switch from AT&T to a Verizon iPhone 4 if such a mythical beastie ever proves real? You'd gain a different network footprint, which could provide better voice and data coverage in your area, but you'd also lose simultaneous voice and data as EVDO Rev A currently can't walk and chew that gum at the same time.

You'd also trade AT&T customer service for Verizon customer service, which could be good or bad depending on your experience. Likewise, while AT&T has received tons of flack for their network, they've also had 3+ years of experience handling massive amounts of iPhone traffic, something Verizon may also struggle with.

We've already asked if Verizon Droid owners would switch to a Verizon iPhone, so fair's fair, if you're an AT&T iPhone owner, would you switch to Verizon iPhone? Simple answer in the poll up top, and tell us why or why not in the comments.

Game Center slowly coming to life?

Apple's iOS Developer News is letting developers know how to set up Game Center achievements and leaderboard categories:

You can now set up metadata for your Game Center Achievements and Leaderboard Categories in iTunes Connect. Setting up these elements will allow you to test the full capabilities of Game Center for your app in the sandbox environment.

Apple announced Game Center way back in early April but instead of shipping it in June with iOS 4, they said it would be coming "later this year". The basic idea is to give "Xbox live" style social networking to iOS devices like iPhone and iPad.

CDMA iPhone 4 codenamed N92, in engineering verification test for possible January (Verizon?) debut

Daring Fireball has revealed that the CDMA iPhone 4 is codenamed N92 and is entering the engineering verification (EVT) stage, one step before the design verification test (DVT) stage, which is right before manufacturing -- and right on time for a possible January 2011 launch.

The device itself is supposed to be identical to the current GSM iPhone 4 (codenamed N90) with the exception of the CDMA radio. While Verizon is the logical and persistent rumored carrier for the device, Sprint is also a possibility. Although not identical to US CDMA (don't get us started on CDMA2000 vs WCDMA vs whateverCDMAwhatever) China and Korea, among others, are also possibilities.

Apple releases iOS 4.0.2 for iPhone, iOS 3.2.2 for iPad, kills Jailbreakme.com, PDF exploit

Apple has just released iOS 4.0.2 for iPhone and iOS 3.2.2 for iPad which on the surface seem only to patch the zero day, in the wild PDF rendering exploit that enabled Jailbreakme.com, but could have also potentially allowed all manner of malware attacks against the iPhone Safari browser.

At a whopping 579.3 MB for iOS 4.0.2, it does seem like there should be something more substantial in the update -- proximity sensor fix anyone? -- but if there is, Apple isn't saying.

iPhone owners get the most sex

The folks over at OkCupid have performed a little study where they analyze photography from a numerical angle. The finding we found most interesting is that iPhone users have more sex than other smartphone users.

The above chart compares the number of sexual partners of 30 year olds who use an iPhone, Blackberry, or Android phone. They also broke down the data of the number of sexual partners by age. The iPhone wins on that chart too.
