'Army of Darkness' iPhone game in the works - "Groovy"

Evil Dead fans can finally breath a sigh of relief as you will soon be getting your first iOS game based off one of the popular cult classic movies staring the one and only Bruce Campbell. Army of Darkness will be brought to us by Backflip Studios and is promised to be worthy of the movie.

"A game developed by us in tandem with MGM Studios based on the cult classic ARMY OF DARKNESS movie will launch early in 2011 . . . deadites beware!"

The game is said to have all of the classic witty quotes and is hybrid castle/tower defense inspired as your main objective is to protect the Necrinomicon from the Deadites using chainsaws, boomsticks, etc... Sadly, Army of Darkness will not be introduced into the App Store until early 2011 but that gives you plenty of time to watch the film if you have not done so already!

Analyst: 3 million Verizon iPhones being built in December?

3 million Verizon iPhones are being built in December for launch early in 2011, according to Susquehanna Financial Group analyst Jeffrey Fidacaro. Now I'll preface this by saying I won't believe any more Verizon iPhone stories until I see one in Steve Jobs hand, but the amount of noise around this potential product launch is only growing.

FolderEnhancer for Jailbreak takes iPhone folders to the next level

FolderEnhancer for Jailbreak will allow your iPhone to have sub-folders, multi-icon moving, more then 12 apps per folder and these are just some of the features. Soon you will have the ability to have even more then 2000+ apps on your phone. Because more is always better right?

If you think iOS 4 folders solved the problem of having too many pages of apps, you haven't seen anything yet. Check out the video below for a preview of what's to come.

Will Apple take a note from this and add it in a future iOS update? Or will this make you want to jailbreak? Sound off below in the comments and let us know what you think.

After 18 months of courtship, did Facebook leave Ping at the altar?

After 18 months of courtship, did Facebook leave Ping at the altar?

Apple and Facebook were in discussions for 18 months before ultimately failing to come to terms on integrating the world's most popular social network with Apple's upstart Ping music service.

While we don't know the details of their discussions, it makes sense that Apple may have wanted to build Ping as a music-tracking and sales service on top of Facebook's social graph. This could have allowed Apple to get what it wanted out of the relationship -- more iTunes and iPod sales -- without having to build a social network from scratch.

Google Updates Google Earth for iPhone, iPad - Contains Ocean Layer Content!

Google updated it's Google Earth app for iPhone and iPad this morning, including Retina Display support and oceanic layer content that was previously unavailable to iOS users. With this new update, you can now zoom in below the surface of the ocean and view the deep trenches and geography of the ocean floor.

Taking a look at the underwater bathymetry on iPhone 4 Retina Display is, simply put, amazing, and a new experience for users on the go. You'll have to see it for yourself to truly understand what I'm trying to relay in this post.
