New York Times has Pulse RSS reader pulled from App Store

The Pulse RSS reader for iPad, featured just yesterday during Steve Jobs' WWDC 2010 keynote, is reportedly being removed from the iTunes App Store following a copyright complaint from the New York Times/The Boston Globe.

The gist of their demand letter is that Pulse comes pre-loaded with the NYTimes.com RSS feed and features it in screen shots, is a paid app, and thus commercially using their RSS feeds, and that it reframes the NYTimes.com and Boston.com websites, both of which the New York Times Company says is in violation of their copyright.

iOS 4 GM jailbroken one day within release

iOS 4 GM jailbroken one day within release

The Gold Master of iOS 4 that was just released yesterday after Steve Jobs WWDC keynote has already been jailbroken by msft.guy. This was accomplished by using some hackery along with the Dev Teams's existing Pwnagetool.

The Dev Team has stated that they do have a working jailbreak for the final iOS 4 but we will not see that until June 21st or shortly there after so it may be wise to hold off on this particular hack. But if you are feeling brave and just have to jailbreak your iPhone 3GS running the iOS 4 GM then feel free to give it a try using these directions here.

Video after the break!

We'll be here Tuesday and Wednesday as well, so if you're a developer email us at news(at)tipb(dot)com and drop on by, say hi, and amaze us with your apps. We're trying to fit in as many as possible.

WWDC 2010 - What We Didn't Get

Now that the WWDC 2010 keynote's over and the dust settles, we know what we're going to get in the coming weeks. iPhone 4 with a brand new look and tons new features, iOS 4, iMovie for iPhone, new developer APIs, iAd, and then some. Apple definitely changed the game today.  But what about the things we wanted but didn't get?

We're all extremely excited to get our hands on the new hardware and OS but for many users, iOS 4 still leaves certain things to be desired. Keep on reading to see what we would have liked to see.

What kind of case do you want for your iPhone 4?

What kind of case do you want for your iPhone 4?

What kind of case do you want for the iPhone 4?online survey

What kind of case do you want for your iPhone 4? Reason we thought about it is iPhone 4 has a glass front and back that we think is some unicorn tear infused admantium/transparent aluminum hybrid, but the moment he saw it Chad's reaction was to shriek "oh my goodness no there's two sides to shatter if I drop it" (which Dieter's imagination went immediately to ball-peen hammers, don't ask!)
