Vonage Mobile iPhone App Gets Accepted into App Store

Apple has gone and shocked the world again as, according to the company's Twitter feed, popular VoIP service Vonage has been approved for the iTunes App Store.

Vonage has announced that Apple approved its mobile application for iPhone and iPod Touch. Vonage is currently conducting a beta test and general availability will be announced at a later date. This new service, along with the recent launch of the Vonage World unlimited calling plan, continues Vonage's heritage of using innovative technology to create significant value for its current and future customers.

The Competition: Nokia N900 Hands-On

Nokia's latest latest and greatest, the N900, is being shown off at Nokia World, and it again has our own NokiaExpert, Matt Miller, all shades of excited.

While some have complained about it's meager 3 rows of keys (3 rows too many for me, but I know many others like physical keyboards...) most are really excited about it's Maemo (Linux-based) operating system, and it's new user interface.

In fact, antonioj, who sent the link our way, thinks it might be enough to pressure Apple into refreshing the 2007-era iPhone UI.

We Want: "WhisperSync" for iPhone and iTunes

With Apple's September 9, "It's only rock and roll, but we like it" event fast approaching, and its promises of new iTunes 9 social media and app management features, here's something else, just like @sethclifford, we'd love to see added to the list: "WhisperSync". More specifically, for MobileMe to do a little over-the-air syncing of our location in a podcast, audiobook, or lengthy video so we can switch between the iPhone, iPod touch, or iTunes and always be at the same location in our media, regardless of where we continue listening or watching.
