Last day to qualify for iPhone 4 free bumper case program

Apple iPhone 4 free bumper case

Today's the last day you can buy an iPhone 4 and qualify for Apple's free bumper case program. If you buy an iPhone 4 tomorrow, you'll fall under the new policy:

For everyone else, we are discontinuing the free case program on all iPhone 4s sold after September 30, 2010. We are also returning to our normal returns policy for all iPhone 4s sold after September 30. Users experiencing antenna issues should call AppleCare to request a free Bumper case.

So once again, if you just want a free case, today's the last day to buy an iPhone 4 and qualify for one. After today, you'll have to have a real antenna problem and go through AppleCare.

Anyone rushing out to beat the deadline?

I've tried so many times to enter the iphone 4 case program. I have 3 iphones 4 and on the first one the process was OK but on the second and third one I still have the problem of the INCORRECT PASSWORD FOR MY APPLE ID!!! My account has been canceled because of the so many times I entered my CORRECT PASSWORD but well I still want my 2 free cases so I created 2 another accounts for each iphones that I have left. I still got the annoying message and today is the final date. What should I do??? PS: I have waited so long later installing the app (some people say that the solution to this problem is to wait for the app to be synced) also I have installed the app through iTunes but nothing solve this issue. Please help!!!!

I just got my 2nd refurb today. The first one had a black spot on the camera lens and ruined every picture I took. The first refurb ws not available for the case program for whatever reason. The new on was though :-) also the box they took the phone from said something like 16gb serviced (don't remember exactly what it said) but it had a $199 price tag. It looks absolutely brand new had the same stock screen protector things on it as a new one and had never been registered. Wonder if I somehow got a new phone

USPS sent mine back and apple mailed it out again, USPS said my address was wrong, it was the same as all of the other countless letters and packages I have received in the past. I hope they don't make the same mistake again.

I just upgraded to the 4 last week. Although the case program app said it would take 1 - 2 weeks for the bumper (everyone on the internet was saying more like 2 - 4 weeks), I got a shipment email from Apple just a few days after submitting the order. I haven't gotten it yet, but it seems encouraging that they seem to have gotten quicker on filling the orders.

So glad I did not get the IP4! My jb 3G is great! No drop calls, good speed and all the apps I want. Lovely!

Thanks for the reminder, I forgot I got a new iPhone a couple days ago, just ordered! :) I won't be using it myself, I'll give it to one of my friends as a gift haha

ROCK. My JB iPhone 4 is fine and powns my 3GS. No dropped calls, no antenna issues. You waste bandwidth......

So is Apple saying that after today the bumper is no longer needed? Did they fix the problem that started the need for this "case" program in the first place? Until the actual problem is corrected, every iPhone 4 should be eligible.

Sorry for reposting this but I really ask for some help.

David, I had the same problem. If you haven't already try going into the settings menu on each I4. Choose the app store logo and click on view account. That's the info ( email and password) that the bumper case app pulls from. Make sure they matchup with what your entering in the bumper app. Hope this helps

That was quick, apple just sent me an email with my tracking information!!!
Hopefully I'll get my case by next week. :)

I have a red Otterbox Defender case on my iPhone 4, but I did the free case program anyway. I ordered the Speck Pixel HD. Anyway, for the record, my phone was case-less for the first day I had it, and I tried repeatedly in both good and bad reception areas to make my phone experience the supposed antenna problems. It dropped one bar for about ten seconds and then gained it back. That was the extent. I believe the media upped the ante and made it a bigger issue than it was. :)

Yeah! They have red and blue. The Otterbox site only shows black and blue, but Best Buy has red as well. And it's not a knock-off. It's an actual OtterBox.
Anyway, for the antenna issue, could iOS 4.1 have changed the software to make the signal read differently? I'm not sure why my phone doesn't do the signal drop thing. I'm glad it doesn't, though!

I'm glad I got one of the phones bot affected by this problem... I still use a case anyway, but not that flimsy little bumper case.. Otterbox all the way

Nice case, but I would recommend the Pong Research iPhone case over this. The amount of wireless energy a cell phone user is exposed to depends on the technology of the phone, the distance between the phone’s antenna and the user, the extent and type of use, and the user’s distance from cell phone towers. That's why I did research and found a case that can reduce radiation exposure. I read about Pong Research cases, Pong technology is custom-designed for each mobile device and works to redirect radiation away from your head and body. I hesitated about it, anyway, I bought a case Pong because is the only technology proven in FCC-certified laboratories to reduce the exposure to mobile device radiation by up to 95% below the FCC limit without compromising the device’s ability to communicate.
