Facebook was one of the first apps on the iPhone, and remains one of the most downloaded apps in the platform's history. After some initial awesomeness, they lost the original developer, Joe Hewitt, who disliked Apple's lack of openness, and the Facebook apps quality slipped. They also took forever to get an iPad version out. Now, however, they've gone native, they've got a new team with some incredibly talented developers and designers behind it - including Mike Matas who worked on the iPhone and iPad interfaces at Apple - and they've greatly expanded their roster of iOS apps to include Facebook Messenger, Facebook Camera, and more.
