Facebook making it easier to find new games on the iPad

Facebook is rolling out an update to its iOS app which will test new ways to help Facebook users discover new games and other entertainment content on the social network. The testing is focused on Facebook on the iPad.

When uses rotate their iPad into landscape view, a new column will appear on the right-hand side, next to the News Feed. In addition to showing you upcoming events, Facebook will now display a number of trending topics, videos, and games.

Trending topics were added to Facebook on the web back in January, and the section shows you several popular topics being discussed and shared on Facebook. Trending videos will show you the most-shared videos among your particular demographic. The My Games section will display the games you already play, letting you access them easily. Finally, popular games will show you when iPad games you might want to play based on what your friends play.

You can download Facebook from the App Store now. How do you feel about this new feature coming to Facebook on the iPad? Tell us below in the comments.
