The Federal Bureau of Investigation releases FBI Child ID app

FBI-Child-ID

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has released an iPhone app called FBI Child ID. If your child goes missing, it must be one of the most stressful things to deal with in life. Most times they just lose track of time and return safe and well, maybe just a few hours late. If they don’t however, you need to know what to do and be able to react as fast as possible. This is where the FBI Child ID app comes in.

The free FBI Child ID app provides a convenient place to electronically store photos and vital information about your child so that it’s literally right at hand if your child goes missing. You can show the pictures and provide physical identifiers such as height and weight to security or police officers on the spot. Using a special tab on the app, you can also quickly and easily e-mail the information to authorities with a few clicks. The app also includes tips on keeping children safe as well as specific guidance on what to do in those first few crucial hours after a child goes missing

FBI Child ID is free to download and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad; running iOS 4.2 or later. Screenshots after the break.

2 problems
1 - it is not password protected, if you lose your phone then someone may have intimate details about your kids
2-Does not sync to other devices, you have to manually enter the info in for each one.

And so it began: Skynet raced to find and eliminate a young John Conner before he had the chance to grow and learn of his destiny. Sarah had no idea what she had done until it was too late.

And when you install this how much of your personal data is scraped off your phone and sent to the FBI... BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING!!! GO INGSOC
