Flipboard comes to iPhone, brings Cover Stories

Flipboard comes to iPhone, brings Cover Stories

Flipboard, the renowned personal, social magazine for iPad, has just been updated to version 1.7 and brings with it universal support for iPhone and iPod touch as well. Flipboard is also giving the iPhone version a short term exclusive -- Cover Stories, a quick, smart way to keep up to date on the Facebook, Instagram and Twitter content most relevant to you.

Full update list and gallery after the break.

Note: While it's showing up in iTunes, Flipboard for iPhone is failing to load at the moment. Wait a while, get a beverage, try again, and hopefully it fixes itself asap.

  • New iPhone edition puts the power of Flipboard in your pocket.
  • Cover Stories for iPhone, a selection of interesting articles and photos being shared with you right now. And it gets smarter every time you use it. (Coming soon to iPad.)
  • Speed. Flip through pages as you would through a printed magazine, all with the flick of a thumb.
  • Flipboard Accounts:
    • Sign into your Flipboard from either iPhone or iPad and get instant access to all your favorite content.
    • Check out All Timelines. Flip through a single feed containing all articles and all photos being shared across all your social networks.

Will it ever have UK support?

Love this app. Better than pulse. Very addictive. Like the flip and easy return style.

Adam Turner says:

I can't get it to load anything I'd like to add (Facebook, twitter, Google Reader, etc.). It says I'm not connected to the internet, but I am (other apps work fine). I've deleted the app, reinstalled, and restarted my phone. Anyone else having this problem?

Chadderbox says:

Yes same issue. Deleted and reinstalled same thing. Quite annoying but guess I'll just remove and find something else...

Travis Thomas says:

Same here. It updated when i first installed it and that was it.

SCFaulkner says:

Me too, hopefully it's just activity on the server that sets up your account, and it'll die down later today.

I downloaded it, super excited, and to my huge disappointment its not working at all.. It says I'm not connected to the internet. Is anyone else having this problem??

headgamer says:

Won't work. Seems it is having tons of problems setting up an account for the first time. Have tried all morning. Searching the internet shows that LOTS of people are having the same problem. Disappointing.

peggedin says:

delete the app and re-install... worked after I did that

headgamer says:

Nope. No change. Support forum is getting a lot of the same thing.

Gucascante says:

I tried it, but it didn't work with the 3G network of my iPhone, WIFI only...that´s bad...
