Get BBEdit, the most advanced text editor you'll ever need, for 20% off right now

Code warriors, you'll be happy to hear that a popular Mac app by the name of BBEdit is 20% off until June 27 when you use the code smile14 on check-out. The discount is being provided by Smile, the guys behind TextExpander and big fans of BBEdit, clearly. This knocks down the price to $39.99, which isn't a bad deal at all for something you could end up using day-in and day-out. We've talked with the BBEdit guys in the podcast before, and though it's primarily used for web developers, Rene loves using this app for plain text.

BBEdit allows for extremely easy formatting and editing of just about any kind of text thanks to handy conversion, sorting, search, and replacement tools. Text Factories let you quickly generate mass amounts of text without having to resort to scripting. You can get a full run-down of the BBEdit features over here.

Head on over to Bare Bones software to snag BBEdit on discount. How many of you guys work with HTML daily? What tools do you use?

I use the free version of BBEdit, TextWrangler, for non-iCloud plain-text documents. Will look into the full BBEdit to see if it has features I really need, but TextWrangler already does HTML syntax highlighting for when I actually do edit HTML / CSS etc.

Made the purchase online 3 hours ago, haven't receive any email confirmation yet. Just filled out a sales support form on the Bare Bones site. This is not how you do e-commerce.

My bad. Or rather, Apple's bad. I'm running Yosemite beta 1, and the Mail app didn't give any indication of new mail received until I re-launched it. The BBEdit purchase confirmation with serial number was right there all the time.

Great app, by the way. Many more features than TextWrangler.
