Gevey Ultra S will unlock your GSM iPhone 4S, no jailbreak required

i understand that this is for GSM. Seperate question though. Is the actual hardware exactly the same for the USA GSM and CDMA phone? If not does anyone generally know what components are different?
The difference most likely lies with the carrier software installed. Not positive but that'd be my guess
Thanks Ally. I google it a while back and mostly came back with hundreds of articles stating simply that Verizon a cdma carrier was not getting the iphone or that Sprint was now getting it. But i couldn't find one answering if they the hardware was exactly the same.
So internally the iPhone 4 on Verizon is full CDMA. iPhone 4S I THINK is the identical unit.

I got the 32G White Iphone 4S from sprint. From what I understand Sprint, ATT, and Verizon use the same phone but only different carrier software. Can I use the Gevey on the sprint phone to be used on T-mobile.
I too have the 32gb iPhone 4s from sprint and have been wondering the same thing. I have been waiting for a way to use it with AT&T which theoretically should be possible. The sprint iPhone 4s has both gsm and cdma capabilities. Will the gevey ultra s do the trick?
So I'm assuming that this will only work for 5.0.1? If I were to upgrade in the future, would the unlock still be applicable?

Uhh... not sure about need for this if you're on Verizon.
I personally got my Verizon iphone4s unlocked for international travel by calling Verizon's 'Global Support' line at 1-800-711-8300. See this page: https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/696707/page/6. This was in November 2011.
I had the iphone for less than 15 days - though had that particular Verizon account valid for about 5 months. Called up and told that I wanted to have iphone4s unlocked for international travel, so I could use a prepaid phone connection in my destination country. The rep knew exactly what I wanted and was told that the lock had been released -- all in all it took less than 5 minutes of call.
Later when I went overseas, bought a prepaid micro SIM card with talk time and data, popped it in iphone and had voice AND 3g speed data with zero trouble..
Alex, just try clarify things for others, I have done the same thing you did but not to confuse the readers, you are speaking on An INTERNATIONAL unlock which works on ALL verizon iphone 4s when you travel. If you have verizon 4s and thinking you can do this unlock for it to work on US domestic networks suchs as tmobiel or ATT then you are out of luck. Verizon will unlock your IPHONE for international USE, still WILL BE LOCKED for domestic networs here in the U.S.A.

Try Preserving the BB from iOS 4.3.3 to iOS 5. Use PwnageTool in the mac or sn0wbreeze in windows. Then use Gevey sim. Most probably it will get unlocked. Their site includes BB uptp 04.10 so yours should work.
