Is Gmail down for you?

Update: Google apologizes for outage, claims what we had was a failure to configurate...

Users are reporting an outage that's preventing Google's popular e-mail service Gmail from working. Are you having a hard time getting Gmail to send or receive e-mail?

Users checking Gmail get the following error:

Temporary Error (500)

We’re sorry, but your Gmail account is temporarily unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience and suggest trying again in a few minutes. You can view the Apps Status Dashboard for the current status of the service.

As we posted this article, Google's Apps Status Board showed no outage for Gmail, but users across the Twittersphere are reporting problems getting their Gmail accounts to work.

So what's up? Is Gmail working for you? Let us know in the comments.

Is Gmail down for you?

haha, no. It was just the last straw. I keep using uptime as the reason to stay. Zero safety net when it goes down. But the browser client is just so damn good.

Hangouts continued to work on my phone while everything else was down across all platforms. Weird.
