Grab your Lightsabers, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is half price on iPad!

If you're looking for a great iPad game to play this weekend, then look no further. Legendary title, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is half price for a limited time only, making it yours for just $4.99. At that price, it's too good to ignore, but it won't be around forever.

Having first launched on Xbox back in 2003, Knights of the Old Republic quickly became something of a cult classic. It made the long awaited arrival on the iPad earlier this year, with an all new, touchscreen based control system. It's a truly great game of our time, made even easier to recommend while on sale. Grab it while it's hot, and may the force be with you!

Is it a virtual thumb stick type game?

SockRolid says:

Depends on what you mean. You move forward with a swipe-upward-and-hold gesture, left and right by swiping left and right etc. So sometimes your finger blocks your view. And it's nowhere near as precise as a mouse would be, which makes swoop bike racing very tough. I managed to become champion in all swoop bike race venues, but it was almost unbearably hard.

Of course, you can still go all the way through the game without the racing, but those massive extra credits early on will help you buy better gear to make the early battles easier. But as you build up your force power, it will be easier and easier to win battles without all that equipment. I finished the game with 50K extra credits I never needed to use.

I hate games with a virutal joystick. They're frustrating for me. A lot of 3rd person shooters take this approach on the iPad. Thanks for your description.

Worth every penny. Even at full price.
