How to manually restart your Apple TV

Netflix failing to stream on your Apple TV? Are you receiving errors when trying to access purchased content? Are channel icons disappearing from the screen? These problems and a lot more can sometimes be resolved by quickly restarting your Apple TV!

How to quickly reboot your Apple TV

  1. Click on the Settings icon from the main menu of your Apple TV.
  2. Now choose General.
  3. Scroll all the way down and click on Restart.

That's all there is to it. Your Apple TV should now reboot. If that doesn't seem to solve the problem, you may need to restore your Apple TV instead.

Have you ever had to restart your Apple TV due to streaming or purchase issues? Does it typically solve the problem? Let me know in the comments!
