How to upgrade to a new Fitbit

Has your old Fitbit gone and Fitbit-the-dust? Or, are you ready to take the next Fitbit step and step up your Fitbit game? Upgrade to the next level to continue on your fitness journey with Fitbit!

How do I pair my new Fitbit with my smartphone?

It's easy, you pair your upgraded Fitbit the same way you paired your first one, but this time you want to add and delete trackers.

Can I pair my new Fitbit on the web?

You bet your bottom dollar you can! Just head over to Fitbit's website and log in to your account. Just follow the instructions from there!

Will I have to start all my goals over from scratch?

Nope! The best part about the Fitbit app is that it's linked to your account, so adding and replacing trackers won't affect your data.

Do I have to delete my old Fitbit from my account?

Yes, if you're planning on no longer using it because it will continue to sync with your Dashboard when your smartphone is near, and it'll probably skew your statistics.

However, if you want to keep your old Fitbit hanging around, you can add all the trackers you like. Maybe you upgraded from the Flex to the Surge, but the Surge is a bit too much for your average work day. That's cool. Use both and all your data will be compiled in your Fitbit Dashboard. Just know that you can only have one of each model of Fitbit paired to the app at a time. A Zip and an Alta? Sure. Two Zips? Nope.
