iPad 2 hits 25 more countries this Friday, March 25

There will be no delays as Apple has just confirmed iPad 2 will be available this Friday, March 25 in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK. Just like the US launch, online orders will begin a 1am (they don't say which time zone?) and in store purchases will be available starting 5pm local time.

While competitors are still struggling to catch up with our first iPad, we’ve changed the game again with iPad 2,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We’re experiencing amazing demand for iPad 2 in the US, and customers around the world have told us they can't wait to get their hands on it. We appreciate everyone’s patience and we are working hard to build enough iPads for everyone.”

Apple also announced that iPad 2 will be available in Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and additional countries in April.

If you're having trouble deciding if you want an iPad 2, and which of the 12 models you want (no CDMA versions outside the US), check out our iPad 2 buyers guide and full on iPad 2 review. Then let us know what country you're in and whether you're ordering online or lining up!

does in store purchases mean apple store or everywhere? i dont see apple letting best buy or futureshop (im in canada) release it before them

In Ireland - I'll be ordering online as the nearest Apple reseller is 100 miles away. Yay for iPad 2 being released on time!

I'll be ordering 16Gb Wifi Black for me and 16Gb 3G white for my lady!
In Portugal! (If I can get them since no one knows if we will since we don't have official apple retail stores)

WOW thats just awesome, and I ordered mine 2:33 PST on launch day and still have no iPad. WTF? mine wont ship until April 1st and the rest of the world will get it. Why doesnt Apple fix the supply problem here before adding world wide supply?

why are americans getting upset that the world is receiving stock and they still have a delay? do they have some sort of more important stake in apple products then do the international countries?

Well, its because we have not gotten our orders filled yet. There are people (like me) still waiting for ours from the original launch date!

With the delays from ordering online, Im more tempted to go and queue at the local apple store. But on the flip side, even if I turn up a 6am, the queue will be ridiculous. So there's no guarantee there either.
And the embarrassment of being labelled an utter geek from friends, for wasting one days leave, and queuing all day long.

New Zealand release FAIL. It's after 2am Friday 25th and still no sign of iPad 2 on the NZ Store. Perhaps the person who pushes the big switch doesn't realise we are almost a full day ahead of the US?

Sales of iPad 2 went live on New Zealand Store around 2:20am Friday 25th local time. Estimated shipping for all models is 2-3 weeks.
