Apple has quietly updated its 12 Days of Christmas app for UK and European users. The app is always updated around this time of year but doesn't actually start to be of any use until December 26th. The app gives away apps, books and music content every day for 12 days and It is worth grabbing now just in-case you forge

At long last, the iTunes Store looks like it will be officially launching in Russia. For a few weeks now, we have heard rumblings that it may be launching very soon, some users have already seen songs for sale in music searches at extremely competitive prices. Now Apple has supposedly sent out invitations to a small number of people to attend an event in Moscow tomorrow.

Apple has released iTunes 11. Grab it now via the Mac App Store's Software Update. It introduces a completely redesigned UI, a new store, playback syncing, improved search, a new MiniPlayer, and better iCloud integration.

You can now buy iTunes gifts from within Facebook's gift system. iTunes gifts in Facebook are available for $10, $15, $25, or $50, and can be used to buy videos, music, apps, and more. Facebook says:

After The Beatles music finally made its way onto iTunes, AC/DC were one of the only huge bands that did not have a presence with the iTunes Store. Thankfully that has now changed and you can finally get all of their brilliant albums directly from iTunes.

While Google has been working on a new Google Maps app for iOS, the question has been raised as to whether or not the app will be approved. Google apparently wishes to launch the app by the end of the year, but certain circles within the company are wondering if Apple will draw out the approval process for the app or reject it outright.
