If you've been kicking around an idea for killer iOS app, but you lack the coding skills necessary to build it, you may want to check out a new Kickstarter campaign for a service called "Glide."

Kickstarter project 'Glide' brings drag-and-drop development to iOS apps

Glide is a cloud-based service that works by taking pictures, text, and videos that you upload and building them out into an app. From the description, Glide seems like a pretty interesting and ambitious service. While it doesn't look like Glide will allow you to create anything that requires a great deal of complexity—like a game, for instance—it does look to be a good solution for informational apps. Some of the applications that the Kickstarter page specifically points out are apps for magazines, hotel brochures, photographic stories, and museums. The folks behind Glide even point out that the service has already been used to create some award winning iOS apps such as Brian Cox's Wonders of the Universe and The Loop Magazine.

If Glide has piqued your interest, you can head on over to Kickstarter to back the project now. You can pledge anywhere from £7 to £3,250 with rewards ranging from being recognized as a founder to early access to the beta program, one-year Glide subscriptions, and professional training on creating an app in Glide.
