Live with BBM 2.0 at NMX: Channels, voice calls, location sharing, and more!

We're not only at CESlive, we're at New Media Expo, and we're talking to Jeff Gadway about BBM for Everyone, and what's coming to iOS in the big BBM 2.0 update. Namely, BBM channels for broadcasting and interaction, voice calls for crystal clear audio, location sharing to let your contacts know where you are, but only for as long as you feel comfortable, and 100 new emoticons, 25 of which were chosen by the BBM users.

Really nice feature, I really like it. The only thing BBM really needs now is to adapt its UI to the native design guidelines of both iPhone and Android, they need to feel more "at home" to each platform in my opinion and it's not that the current UI is good enough to excuse the consistent look on all three platforms.

Mooooar BBM goodness! I like where it's going! But as always, there is room for improvements. If only they would add BBM video. It would become a killer app.

Are they going to make video calls aka BBM video available for iOS/Apple users? If they would have that feature, they would SLAY other messenger apps!!

Not cancelled, just not implemented in this update. They still have a few more BBM features to bring over to Android & iOS, but their getting there
