Lord of the Rings: War in the North action RPG comes to Macs this month
Feral Interactive announced Thursday its release plans for the Mac version of The Lord of the Rings: War in the North, an action role playing game set in the world of Middle Earth, a tie-in to the epic movie trilogy directed by Peter Jackson. It's coming on August 29th.
In War in the North, you can assume the role of one of three playable characters: Eradan the ranger, capable of wielding a variety of weapons and using stealth to his advantage; Andriel the elf, a powerful magic-wielding Loremaster trained by Elrond himself; and Farin the dwarf, a Champion equally adept and wielding melee weapons and a crossbow. You can play alone or in cooperative mode with another player as you travel to lands unseen before in Middle Earth, and visit some locations you'll recognize from the movies. War in the North also distinguishes itself as the first Lord of the Ring video game to get an M for Mature rating for the ESRB, because of its blood and gore content.
Look for War in the North to appear on download sites beginning August 29th for $29.99.
