Original Plants vs. Zombies game finally gets updated to support the iPhone 5, and obviously the iPhone 5s

The original Plants vs. Zombies game by PopCap has been updated a few times in the past year and it's been maddening to me that not one of those updates contained support for the larger display of the iPhone 5. Luckily, the original game has finally been updated with support for the larger iPhone models. This is great news for people like me who don't particular care for the freemium model of Plants vs Zombies 2. Better late than never, right?

While the biggest update was support for the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s, the update also includes optimization for iOS 7 as well as general bug fixes.

If you still enjoy playing the original Plants vs Zombies, make sure you grab the update via the link below!

Just downloaded today's release & it's not filling up my iPhone 5 screen. Still have the black pillars.

Update: the update just showed up.

Yea mine did that too. You updated and then had to update the update. I've had to do that with quite a few apps on iOS 7. Not sure why.

I looked at the update section yesterday it still had the previous version showing and said open. I searched for it and there it said update and viola, I updated to be able to play properly on my 5s.
