OS X El Capitan will bring enhancements to Mission Control and window management

OS X 10.11 El Capitan will feature a number of changes and enhancements to the existing Mission Control feature and app window behaviors. These changes include updated gestures, pop-overs, and more. For instance, Mission Control can now be opened by a three-finger swipe up to show you all of your open applications.

App windows are getting some significant enhancements as well. Full screen windows will be able to be used in a split-screen mode, letting you work in one fullscreen space with two side-by-side. Clicking and holding the green button in the title bar will let you drag left or right, and letting place another app next to it. You can drag the divider over either half in order to resize. Dragging an window to the top of the screen will give that app its own desktop.
