Philips Hue, the home lighting system you can control with your iOS device, is set to expand its portfolio by adding LightStrips and Bloom bulbs to the range. According to Matt Brian at The Verge:

The flexible LightStrips come in two-meter lengths and are designed to be placed around frames or to accentuate fixtures in the home. The Bloom is a portable lamp and features a 120 lumen LED bulb that highlights specific places or objects in a room. Both products have been available in different forms but Philips has integrated the ZigBee LightLink wireless standard and incorporated them into the Hue family.

The new products will reportedly go on sale in Apple Retail Stores and the online Apple Store in the coming weeks. The LightStrips are said to cost $89.95 with the Bloom bulb setting you back $79.95. Both are also said to require you already have the Philips Hue starter kit, so these are more of an add-on rather than a full system.

So what about it Hue owners, do either of these sound enticing to you?

Update: As written by Engadget, these are now official and will be available from the Apple Store this Thursday. Prices are still as above, and a little more has emerged on the LightStrips. They'll come with a self-adhesive backing and can be cut to size to fit around anything you see fit. Who's buying?
