Last night it was the State of the Union press gallery that looked like an Apple ad, and today it was Microsoft's Windows 10 event that was resplendent in aluminum MacBooks and glowing Apple logos. Austen Allred, co-founder of Grasswire captured it on Twitter.

This isn't anything new, of course. It's been happening for years. Many people in the press depend on the quality of Apple's hardware and the productivity of their software. People who are around tech all day, every day, who don't have IT departments buying for them, who need to travel, who need to work for hours on end, potentially without the ability to plug in, like what Apple has to offer.

And again, that's better than any in-house ad.
