Quick App for Xbox 360 Owners: 360 Live

If you are a big online gamer and own a Xbox, 360 Live [$1.99 - iTunes Link] is the app for you. There are many apps within the App Store that perform many of the same functions as 360 Live but none of them are this well integrated.

  • Sign in securely using your Xbox Live credentials. 360 Live automatically retrieves your friends.
  • Complete Gamertags management. Add, remove, accept or reject pending requests.
  • An organized Friends List. Grouped by status (Online, Offline, etc.)
  • Gamer Profile and details including gamerscore, bio, location, country, gamercard, avatar, etc.
  • Check your friends complete games history.
  • Compare locked and unlocked achievements per game and gamertag.
  • Send and receive messages. You can even send messages to multiple recipients!
  • Gamercard coverflow style carrousel on landscape mode!

The only negative that I've seen testing this app out is that at times, it can take some time to load. Hopefully that is cleared up with an update or two and if it is, this will be hands down the best Xbox Live companion piece.

Quick App for Xbox 360 Owners: 360 Live

agreed, its an amazing app, just needs to be worked on a little more. still better than most though, plus, its reaching out of the console itself & allowing 'on the go' updates/contact info, can't complain much!
would be cool to update & personalize stuff, like on the system... but that's something we gotta wait & see if possible.
anyways, give this app a try! and go suggest & direct feedback to the developers as well to improve it!

The dev claims the info is stored locally on your iPhone/iPod Touch and is only used to access Xbox.com to login and run the app. It never goes anywhere else.

@sting7k, i'd want proof. i'd also want to see what information is getting sent to his server via cookie auth.

Something seems fishy about this. Microsoft said sometime last year that all XBox Live apps must be free and aren't allowed to ask for your login.
I get the feeling that this app won't be sticking around for too long.

Agreed, I won't be getting it based on the fact they want username/password. It's too easy to for that info to be abused.

@Elric....How is MS lame, it isn't even their app. Jeez people are always so quick to crap on MS.

Your site is loading quite slow for me. Might just be my isp but i don't know... anyways great post. Very helpful, thanks so much. Will be sure to bookmark your blog for future reference :)

My lovely new LG Cookie no longer would seem as interesting due to the fact someone looks to were able to hack into my phone and entry the internet while I'm asleep. I bought it through the O2 shop and have an O2 sim card. O2 usually are not by any means valuable but more than £42 worth of credit has been sucked out of my pre-paid account. Any suggestions about wherever I can locate out how you can solve this dilemma?

"All I had to do was fill in the phone number of my friend and I instantly was given their address, name and more! All the information I needed to find. Once I found these results I used many other phone numbers in this search and found tons of information!"
