RepairPal, from the website of the same name, leverages the power and convenience of the iPhone to provide highly targeted -- and at times vitally important -- information when and where you need it. Say the developers:

We made this application because it addresses the real world disconnect with auto repair. Many times when your car needs repair, you aren't at the computer. People may end up at an unfamiliar shop in an unfamiliar town so they need something to reassure them that they are not getting ripped off.

We built this for the iPhone because we need to convey a lot of information to the user. Development tools for iPhone allowed us to build an application that is easy to navigate and provide the best user experience. Being able to take advantage of features like GPS makes a lot of sense for our application since people may not always be sure of their location when they are broken down on the side of the highway.

Yeah, I could only enter Ford Mustang, but I know my GT is more expensive to fix than a V6. It definitely needs more specific vehicles and WAY more "Service" choices than it currently has. Also, the best (and most honest) place to take one's car in my area isn't even listed.
Oh well, it's FREE... hopefully it will evolve. It is a very good idea, however.

RepairPal charges way too much for shops to become members. Pricing estimation tool presents price ranges that are too wide...

The Allegro2 has a lot of parts that look like other cars that followedit. Take a look at the rear quarters they look a lot like the AMC shortcoupe and Javalin('69). The front fenders look like the Camaro('70). The rear view and the inset glass and "sail" panels like a Lotus Europa('67). The wheels are very GM looking with the pressed steel look and small cente caps used on late '60s early '70s Chevelle's and Corvettes. The car seems to be a very important styling leader ahead by several years! Little "blocky" looking from rear but the reat forward is pretty far ahead of its time and got copied a lot! THC
