Quick Review: Photogene for iPad
Photogene is one of the top selling photography apps for iPhone and now we have that same great editing power, plus more, in Photogene for iPad [$3.99 - iTunes link].
Editing images with Photogene for iPad is pleasurable. The big screen allows you to really see the changes and the tools provided by Photogene are easy and intuitive to use.
- Enhance photos with multiple color adjustment: adjust color levels, exposure, contrast, saturation or manipulate the RGB.
- Apply filters such as the sharpen or the pencil filter.
- Crop, straighten and rotate your image.
- Add fun effects like text balloons, frames or special filters.
I have encountered a few minor bugs when using Photogene for iPad, but I trust that these will be fixed in a future update.

That puppy is so cute, I almost want one.
Gotta say I've been a fan of Photogene since it first came out. Now that I have it on iPad it's even better. Well done guys!
Ok, how long till Photogene comes out with a Green Eye Filter to match its Red Eye filter?
This looks like a great tool. Leanna, do you think a more professional photo editing software is viable on the iPad? My thinking is that for an artist, using your fingers is more apt than using a mouse. Just curious.
I think so. I think this is just the beginning of what's to come with photo editing on the iPad.
@Leanna Lofte Agreed! As much as Adobe would like to skip the iPad party, they could really do well with a descent LightRoom 4 iPad. They have a basic drawing app, Ideas, but it blows in comparison to AutoDesk SketchBook Pro for iPad
