SanDisk's new iPhone 6 and 6s case doubles as a Flash storage drive

SanDisk has just announced the iXpand Memory Case for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s. In addition to providing protection for the phone, it doubles as a Flash storage drive that allows the iPhone to increase its storage capacity by as much as 128GB.

Here's a quick look at the features for the SanDisk iXpand Memory Case:

  • MORE MEMORY FOR YOUR IPHONE 6 OR IPHONE 6S - With 32GB, 64GB or 128GB of extra storage, suddenly the possibilities are exponential. Take more photos. Watch more videos. Listen to more music.
  • DURABLE, PROTECTIVE CASE - Extra memory is great. But a case also needs to help protect your phone. The iXpand Memory Case features hard plastic outside and soft rubber inside to protect your phone.
  • AUTOMATIC CAMERA ROLL BACKUP - Set the iXpand Memory Case app to automatically back up the photos and videos from your camera roll to your case.
  • PASSWORD-PROTECT YOUR PHOTOS, VIDEOS AND FILES - With the iXpand Memory Case, your sensitive content is protected from prying eyes when used with the iXpand Memory Case app to move it from your case to your Mac to your PC and back again. The iXpand Memory Case includes the SanDisk SecureAccess software for Windows and Mac computers, making it easy to protect and access your files.
  • GET MORE POWER WITH THE ADD-ON BATTERY PACK (SOLD SEPARATELY) - The 1900mAh add-on battery pack boosts your battery capacity for those days when you need more power. Add it in a snap and easily remove it when you want to travel light. When connected, the optional battery pack detects when your phone's battery runs low, and kicks in to charge it. So you can focus on other things, not whether your phone has a charge.

The SanDisk iXpand Memory Case is currently available from Amazon at the link below. It comes in blue, red, grey and teal colors. Prices for the case are $59.99 for the 32GB version, $99.99 for the 64GB model and $129.99 for the 128GB option. The battery pack add-on will be priced at $39.99 but it has not yet been released.
