State of the Mobile Nations Survey - What's Your Next Tablet?

Novo Elf 7. I have a first gen iPad and wanted a cheap tablet that IC ould use for a multimedia tablet/eBook reader. I didn't like a few things about the Kindle Fire. I wanted the tablet to be running Ice Cream Sandwich, as I wanted to learn that and I have some Android software, and I definitely wanted a USB port or SD card slot or both, so that I could load movies without Internet access. I needed a capacitive multitouch screen, and didn't care about much else.
My tablet AFTER that one will be an iPad 3, ideally from someone other than AT&T, after their bait and switch "unlimited" plan.

Currently using a 7" Galaxy Tab (first gen) flashed with ICS.
Rene, you should make "undecided" an option for future tablet purchases. I may buy an ipad 3 but I may buy another Android tablet depending on what comes out and what Apple does. If I can get a 4G/LTE ipad 3 with no contract I'd probably go for it though.

I have a Samsung series 7 slate with W7 on it now and I must say that I love it. For One Reason: I can write accurately on the screen in normal handwriting size! The wacom digitizer is fabulous on this thing! If OneNote (or an equivalent) comes out for the iPad and the iPad has proper pen input, then I'll consider switching over.

Try Write Pad - works great on iPad and has great recognition software when using a stylus to convert written words into text.

definitely the ipad 3. the number and availability of games for iOS is much bigger than for any other platform. not mention the fact that even when they come out for android OS, iOS gets the first priority. having this in mind, I will purchase ipad 3 and even 4. also its resale value is always high. HQ display and quad core along with even more longer battery life is always preferred.

I have a first gen iPad, but my next tablet will be the one that supports the vertical applications a principle client needs.

I'm digging my wife's iPad 2, and I don't want to wait forever for MY device to get updated to the latest OS. Going to get the iPad 3, sorry. =(

We're all getting IBM Tele Pads (shamelessly product-placed in "2001: A Space Odyssey"). But only if the Tele Pad comes out before the iPad 3. Otherwise we're getting iPad 3.

I have the iPad 1 and 2 and I will probably upgrade when the 6 comes out because I am extremely satisfied with what I have. It is better to be happy and content then to rush upgrade and 6 months later worry about the next version of what you already have.

This would be easy if my computer was not 9 years old. I want an iPad 3, but the fact that I need a pc, and I want to go Apple, there is the problem. Cannot buy both. If that was not a factor, iPad 3 for sure.

Just bought the iPad 2. Couldn't wait any longer. I'll pass this on to my wife and son later this year once the 3 is launched and supply stabilizes from the mad dash at the start.

Well right now its gotta be aleve or maybe a couple of tylenol, but hopefully when it comes to the electronic variety it will be another iPad.
