T-Mobile US to offer iPhone 5 for no money down for limited time starting tomorrow

T-Mobile US customers can get high-end smartphones like the iPhone 5 for $0 up front with the carrier's new promotion, which starts tomorrow. The offer is open to both new and existing T-Mobile customers. The promotion is just another part of T-Mobile's efforts to get people to switch, as indicated by CEO John Legere as part of T-Mobile's statement:

The number of reasons not to switch to T-Mobile this summer is ZERO," said John Legere, president and chief executive officer, T-Mobile US. "This is a fantastic offer and we're making it easier than ever for customers to get the latest amazing devices. Adding Zero Down in addition to JUMP!, and Simple Choice with no contract is all about making wireless work for consumers and shaking up this industry.

Of course, T-Mobile isn't exactly eating the upfront cost of these phones. If you take advantage of this promotion, you will be paying a higher monthly fee. The iPhone 5, for instance, which is normally $20 per month on top of your T-Mobile service plan, will cost $27 per month with this deal. You actually end up paying a little more for your device when you get it with this offer. Additionally, only the 16GB iPhone 5 is available under the promotion, with the 32GB and 64GB models available at their normal prices.

Will this offer get you to switch to T-Mobile? Have you switched already, or are you sticking with your current carrier?

T-Mobile US to offer iPhone 5 for no money down for limited time starting tomorrow

I've heard nothing but good news from folks using T-Mobile's new LTE service roll out. Can folks sound off with their experiences, both positive and negative?

Debating on switching....

When I'm close enough to receive LTE service, I think it's fantastic. But I live in an outlying area (about an hour and a quarter outside of Boston), and I'm mainly relegated to low-bar 4G (or often even 2G or roaming) service. T-Mobile has to expand their network footprint in order to compete with AT&T and Verizon.

With that being said, making phone calls and texting are just as good as the other networks. It's the data coverage that is spotty.

Left sprint after 12 yrs
I'm with Tmobile now using my unlocked iphone 5 and I love it
Tmobile is doing everything right by showing they respect the customers
If you switch you will love it

I can't see myself switching to T-Mobile, I admittedly know nothing about their network but just don't have the confidence in it I would do AT&T or Verizon. I have to give them serious kudos for trying to mix things up though, hopefully it'll work out for them, options are always good and it'd be nice to see them give AT&T and Verizon a run for their (our) money.

I have been debating a switch over to T-Mobile for sometime now. I want T-Mobile's unlimited data plan so bad. AT&T and their tiered data are racking me over the coals.

I have had tmobile for 2 years.... They have been good in Phoenix. Can't say much anywhere else. Their LTE coverage is up and down around town but even their "4g" is faster than most. For the price i love the service.

I want to try it out to see if it really true that it free or not .. Let see if they keep there word
