Just a quick update on some freshly released iOS 4 goodness today. As you know, Ally has been watching the App Store for iOS4 compatible updates and if you guys find anything especially awesome, feel free to leave it in a comment or send it to her in an e-mail (ally (dot) kazmucha (at) tipb (dot) com) and if we think it’s awesome too, we’ll include it in our next roundup!

1Password Pro

If you’re a 1Password desktop (Mac or Windows) user with a Dropbox account, 1Password Pro’s latest version is nothing short of a revelation. Just open it up, log into your Dropbox account, and all your passwords and secure data are automagically synced to your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch over the air (OTA). This is the big one. This is what all Todo, Notes, and every other app that should be everywhere needs to do, with every major online storage option. It’s the future.

Oh, and it looks great on Retina Display and works great with iOS 4 fast app switching as well too.

(And yeah, there’s even an Android version now for those who dual-wield).

[$14.99 - iTunes link]

Dragon Dictation

Sure, iOS 4 still lacks universal voice integration but luckily… wait for it… there are apps for that. Dragon Dictation is one of the big guns and it’s just updated to include Facebook and Twitter support, send text to the clipboard and paste into SMS. It’ll also be coming to the UK soon. (They’ve figured out brogue, apparently).

[Free - iTunes link]

BargainBin

App Advice‘s BargainBin lets you set a price for an app (including free) and then alerts you when the app drops to that price. So, for example, if you know holidays usually beget sales and there’s a game that’s been just a bit too expensive for your tastes, you set it up in BargainBin and if it drops to your sweet spot, you’ll know about it and you can go get it. (And if you’re cheeky enough to have set BargainBin itself to free, here’s you’re alert — it’ll cost you nothing for a limited time).

[Free on sale - iTunes link]

iPhone app developers have gone crazy this week with some great sales in the App Store and just in time for Black Friday.

Agile Web Solutions popular Mac application, 1Password, [iTunes Link] has been ported over to iPhone and is now free until December 1st! Some of it’s features are as follows:

Saves web site login credentials, personal identity information (such as names, addresses and telephone numbers), a variety of information that you might find in your wallet (licenses, social security numbers, credit cards, etc.), and freeform secure notes to store any data you’d like to keep safe from prying eyes.

Locks your data behind both a four-digit unlock code and a master password, both of which you configure. Even if your mobile device is stolen or misplaced, your 1Password data is safe.

Syncs safely and securely with 1Password for the Mac over a WiFi connection, provided both the mobile device and the Mac are on the same network. The sync is two-way, so new information can be easily added on your mobile device and synced back to your Mac!

Still searching for that decently priced GPS app? Perhaps CoPilot Live North America [iTunes Link] which is on sale for $19.99 will raise your interest. This sale is only valid until midnight on November 30th so act fast!

Ease of use: the app includes colorful 3-D maps, text-to-voice directions, full use of the iPhone keyboard and iPod controls.

On board maps: rather than relying on strong mobile coverage, CoPIlot Live’s maps are stored on the phone.

Value: although $19.99 is low for a turn-by-turn app, there are also no additional charges for update.

Last but not least we have Gameloft and they are also spreading some holiday cheer around as some of their titles are currently $.99 until November 29th!

Terminator Salvation

Shrek Kart

Blades of Fury

Real Tennis 2009

Brothers in Arms: Hour of Heroes

Castle of Magic

Hero of Sparta

If any of you, our readers, know of some great holiday sales please share them in the comments below!

Every week a few of us from team TiPb, bloggers and forum crew alike, will bring you our current favorite, funnest, most useful App Store apps, WebApps, jailbreak apps, even the occasional accessory, web site, or desktop app if the mood strikes us. As long as they’re iPhone (or iPod touch) related, they’re fair game.

So who’s on deck this week and what are our picks? Find out after the break!

Chad’s Pick: BeejiveIM 3.0.

What makes this IM/Chat client so great is the multiple services you can add (AIM, Google Talk, ICQ, Jabber, MSN/Windows Live, MySpace IM, Yahoo! and Facebook) and the great customization features. You can customize the background wallpaper for each chat, change chat bubble colors and more. Apple’s Push Notification service works really well too, I can’t praise it highly enough in this instance. If you need a mutiple -account chat client, Beejive is the way to go! – [$9.99 - iTunes link]

Chris’ Pick: Zombieville USA

I have been spending some time this week playing an old favorite – Zombieville USA. I happened to open it up, saw my high score, and was on a quest to beat 714 zombies. Last night, around 12:32am, I finally got 726 zombies killed! [$1.99 - iTunes link]

James’ Pick: iTunes App Store

Since I have been traveling for the last few weeks, I have been in cities where I am not all that familiar with the surroundings. Enter the App Store. With the ability to find new apps that help me in my current city, I was able to find out of the way places to eat, the BART schedule and tracker in San Francisco and a new game or two to pass the time.

Jeremy’s Pick: Pocket Tunes Radio

Forget paying that $3 a month fee to Sirius XM and still listen to everything they have to offer including Howard Stern. Pocket Tunes does it all for a single fee of $9.99. Well worth it. (Note: you must have a Sirius XM subscription) [$9.99 - iTunes link]

Leanna’s Pick: AT&T Navigator

I’ve been using AT&T Navigator for a couple days now and am rather impressed. It calculates routes quickly and the ETA is very accurate as well. You can also search for places nearby or by name and of course create favorite places. I’ve always been hesitant to get a navigation system because I though Google maps with GPS was good enough… I was wrong! [Free + $9.99/month - iTunes link]

Matt’s Pick: iPhone 3GS Oleophobic Screen

Since getting the iPhone 3GS, I have sat down with it while eating,
checking emails & Twitter, all the while sliming up the screen with my
oily-chicken fingers. After eating I can simply wipe the screen onto
my jeans & viola! the screen is clean. This is one of my favorite
things about the new iPhone 3Gs!

Rene’s Pick: 1Password Pro

I’ve already picked 1Password, and explained the reasons why. Now I’m picking 1Password Pro for pretty much the same reasons I did last time but now with the added benefit of iPhone 3.0 enabled copy and paste goodness. Instead of using the in-app browser, you can still keep your passwords locked up safely and now just copy, switch to Mobile Safari, and paste them in. You can even use the enhanced javascript-based Mobile Safari integration to automate the transition process. And they promise more to come (check out the video how-to). Can’t wait. [$5.99 - iTunes link]

Your Pick?

You’re part of team TiPb too, so what’s your pick? What app was your absolute fav last week? Let us — and everyone — know in the comments!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again (and again), 1Password is the first app I launch when I (re-)install a Mac, and the first iPhone (and iPod touch) app I go to any time I even think about logging in to a secure website or using credit card data. It’s one of my all-time favorites, and it’s just gone Pro.

The video above shows off the new iPhone 3.0 support in 1Password Pro 2.1, and the ability to extend secure logins out of the embedded browser and into Mobile Safari is very welcome. Better yet, the fine folks at Agile Web Solutions promise even more features are coming soon.

Available now via the iTunes App Store at a special introductory price of $5.99, and because Agile is awesome, they’ve given us ten (10) promo codes to give away to you.

Want one? Get over to the forums and tell us the lamest, most insecure, and useless password you can imagine. And ten of you will get free copies of the strong, secure, incredibly useful 1Password Pro in return.
