EE, the UK's only 4G LTE network provider, has announced a range of brand new, 30-day rolling contract SIM-only deals, perfect for your iPhone 5. The bad news is that LTE still doesn't come cheap, with the most expensive offering set at £63 for that 30-days.

Vodafone UK delays LTE launch, incompatibility with the iPhone 5 a factor

Anyone in the UK on Vodafone hoping for some LTE soon will be disappointed, as their CEO has confirmed the carrier won't be switching on 4G until around September. This is in part due to the current iPhone 5 being incompatible with their proposed LTE network. Speaking to The Guardian, CEO Vittorio Colao said:

AT&T planning large investment to expand LTE network

AT&T will invest $14 billion in the expansion of its LTE network. While AT&T is the second-largest cellular carrier in the US, it lags severely behind rival carrier Verizon in their deployment of LTE. While AT&T managed to sell a record-breaking number of iPhones with the launch of the iPhone 5, customers may decide to drop AT&T in favor of the more-robust Verizon network. The investment will be made over a three-year period, and would cover both wireless and wireline broadband networks.

4G vs. 3G on EE's new LTE network in the UK - on the iPhone 5 of course

Earlier this week, we brought you a video of me going hands on with the iPhone 5 on EE's new 4G LTE network which goes live in the UK on October 30th. I thought it may be interesting to run some 4G speed tests alongside 3G just so those of you that will switch from either an Orange or T-Mobile contract over to an EE one can see what you will be getting. Price plans have not yet been announced, which it a bit of a shame. However, it will be interesting to see if EE charge any extra for the LTE service.
