Space Ace brings old school arcade gaming to the Mac

One of the breakout video games of the mid-1980s is back on the Mac, in all of its original glory. Space Ace, the game featuring cel animation created by former Disney animator Don Bluth, is now available for download from the Mac App Store. If you're a child of the 80s, it's a fun trip down memory lane.

New Iron Man 3 trailer is high on tech, low on laughs

The last Iron Man 3 trailer looked disturbingly like a Dark Knight Rises rehash and while the new one is slightly more fun, it still doesn't show much of the humor of the first two films. Given how belabored and off-key Dark Knight Rises was, I'm nervous.

Still, it's Old Shell Head looking even more Golden Avenger than usual, with War Machine getting the Iron Patriot paint on, and the often superb Ben Kingsley crammed into the many rings of the Mandarin, so while a lot could go wrong, there's still every chance the mighty Marvel movie machine gets this right. Or right enough that, come repulsor and uni-beam time, I won't care.

Iron Man 3 lands in theaters on April 25 or May 3, depending on where you live. In the meantime, there's tons of great content to load up on your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. Here are some of my favorites.

Dead Trigger review for iPhone and iPad

Dead Trigger lurched its way into the App Store yesterday, boasting run-and-gun zombie apocalypse action on your iPhone and iPad. The first person shooter is unabashedly cheesy, chock-full of snappy one-liners after recorpsifying the odd shambler, and over-the-top non-player characters that prod the plot forward. The graphics are the real showstopper though - you will be hard-pressed to find more disgusting walking dead anywhere else on a phone or tablet.

Lara Croft and the Guardians of Light hitting App Store tomorrow!

Crystal Dynamic's Karl Stewart has confirmed that Lara Croft and the Guardians of Light will be hitting the North American App Store tomorrow for $6.99 (iPhone) and $9.99 (iPad). The game is said to be unchanged from the XBLA and PSN game that was released to critical acclaim earlier this year.

There will be a two-player co-op mode included over both WiFi and Bluetooth. For those familiar with the game and hoping that the DLC from the XBLA/PSN versions would make it to the iOS version, a Crystal Dynamics representative has confirmed that the DLC will not be included on the version being released tomorrow, however a future update has not been ruled out.

Check out more pictures and let us know what you think about this and all the other exciting games being released for iOS after the break!
