Diabetics will soon be able to manage the condition using their iPhone or iPod touch thanks to a new accessory and app from iBGStar. The device consists of a glucose monitor that attaches to your iPhone or iPod touch via the 30 pin dock connector. The information is then used by the companion app that will soon be available from the App Store.
It's the eve of Apple's highly anticipated iPad 3 event and Apple has snuck in a new "Catalogs" category into the App Store. The new Catalogs category is not yet available from the categories tab of the App Store, but you can see it in the description of some apps like Catalogue by TheFind as seen in the photo above.
EA has severely underestimated the popularity of any game that involves characters and voices from the hugely popular animated TV series The Simpsons. After releasing its latest game called The Simpsons Tapped Out, it has now embarrassingly had to remove it from the App Store as its servers are being slammed and user experience is being badly affected.
Following their 25 Billion app download, Apple has updated their list of all-time top App Store apps in both the free and paid categories.
Apple has officially announced that the iTunes App Store has hit 25 billion downloads, and that the person who downloaded the 25 billionth app, Where's My Water? Free, was Chunli Fu of Qingdao, China. He'll be getting a $10,000 iTunes gift card.
