Today we have some pretty decent sales going on in the App Store in time for some last minute holiday shopping!

First up we have TomTom North America U.S.A. [iTunes Link], which if you don't mind dropping Canada from your drive can save you some cash -- $49.99. Not too shabby! Again, if you don't care about Canada, grab the US-only version quick as the reduced app is only available until December 31st.

This next one will be painful for some of you as the game was recently released for $10, a whopping $5 higher than it currently is being offered... Super Monkey Ball 2 [iTunes Link] is now on sale for only $4.99 - this weekend only!

Finally we have one for all of you math lovers out there, Wolfram Alpha [iTunes Link] is on sale for $19.99. So if you are in need of carrying around an all-in-one math tool in your pocket and don't want to spend 50 bucks for it's regular price, grab this before the sale ends on December 31st.

iPhone app developers have gone crazy this week with some great sales in the App Store and just in time for Black Friday.

Agile Web Solutions popular Mac application, 1Password, [iTunes Link] has been ported over to iPhone and is now free until December 1st! Some of it's features are as follows:

• Saves web site login credentials, personal identity information (such as names, addresses and telephone numbers), a variety of information that you might find in your wallet (licenses, social security numbers, credit cards, etc.), and freeform secure notes to store any data you'd like to keep safe from prying eyes.
• Locks your data behind both a four-digit unlock code and a master password, both of which you configure. Even if your mobile device is stolen or misplaced, your 1Password data is safe.
• Syncs safely and securely with 1Password for the Mac over a WiFi connection, provided both the mobile device and the Mac are on the same network. The sync is two-way, so new information can be easily added on your mobile device and synced back to your Mac!

Still searching for that decently priced GPS app? Perhaps CoPilot Live North America [iTunes Link] which is on sale for $19.99 will raise your interest. This sale is only valid until midnight on November 30th so act fast!

• Ease of use: the app includes colorful 3-D maps, text-to-voice directions, full use of the iPhone keyboard and iPod controls.
• On board maps: rather than relying on strong mobile coverage, CoPIlot Live’s maps are stored on the phone.
• Value: although $19.99 is low for a turn-by-turn app, there are also no additional charges for update.

With news of TomTom hitting Apple's App Store it's time to start looking out for great deals from the other GPS apps currently available. Today we were notified that one of the most feature-filled GPS apps, Sygic Mobile Maps for the US is on sale for a limited time and it's priced to sell - $39.99. [iTunes Link]

We've used Sygic Mobile Maps and it is well worth $39.99 if you are within the United States. The sale ends at the end of this month so be sure to act fast! It contains some very nice features with some of the highlights as followed:

• Voice guided turn-by-turn GPS navigation
• Rotation sensor for automatic switching between landscape/portrait operation in real-time
• Automatic return to the app and the route after a phone call

It's been a while since out last Apps for Less. It seems as if all the developers are working hard to put their final touches on updates for iPhone OS 3.0 rather than putting their application on sale. With that said, TiPb does have two applications that you may be very interested in picking up at lower prices.

In today's Apps For Less we found a few very worthy deals that you should definitely take advantage of.

First up we have a gem of a game from Gameloft -- you might have heard it? -- Assassin's Creed - Altaïr's Chronicles [iTunes Link]. You should know that it is one to pick up, especially at it's new low price of $5.99 (down from $9.99!) Not a bad deal at all.

The fate of the Holy Land depends on you... Last but not least we have an application that is actually not a game! The unit conversion app, Convertbot, [iTunes Link] is now on sale for a very limited time for the low price of $.99!

Convert currency, length, mass, time and much more in an exciting new way! Converting numbers will never again be a mundane task. Ok, not many applications currently in the App Store worthy of our Apps for Less. Although, the ones we did end up finding are not bad deals.

First up we have Terminator Salvation [iTunes Link], if you have not checked out the trailer we post two weeks ago what are you waiting for? This is one of the top games in the App Store and it seems like Gameloft has gotten the hang of programming games for the iPhones hardware. The best thing about this game now is it's price - it has dropped from $9.99 to $5.99. People complained about the higher price and Gameloft has listened. I feel bad for the early adapters as we always get the short end of the stick in terms of price but that's to be expected.

Next up we have PCalc [iTunes Link], now on sale for $4.99 An excellent app for anyone who needs a feature-rich calculator that the stock app on the iPhone simply can not match. Features are as follows:

• Switchable button layouts - choose from many different horizontal and vertical layouts to suit your needs.
• Calculator themes - pick your look, all the way from minimalist to striking.
• An RPN mode with one button access to the stack and optional two-line display.
• Hexadecimal, octal and binary modes, complete with a variety of bitwise operators.
• All the extensive unit conversions and constants from the desktop PCalc.
• A simulated paper tape to keep track of your calculations.
• Multiple undo and redo. Just flick the LCD to the right and left to reveal the past and future.
• Stylish, consistent user interface.
• Shake to clear! Two shakes to clear, three shakes to clear all.

First up we have an Apps for Less favorite, BeejiveIM [iTunes Link]. This application has been spotlighted in Apps for Less 3 times with the price dropping as low as $9.99. We have some good news for you, BeejiveIM is once again on sale for the low price of $9.99. You may be thinking that the price is still too high but honestly, you will not find a better IM client on the App Store, plain and simple. So if you are looking for the best out there, this is the one for you.

Next up we have a good one for all of you Kung Fu + word game fans. WordFu [iTunes Link] is a dice-based word game that combines a Kung Fu theme with many elements of other popular word games. Your task is to assemble as many words from the given letters as possible. All in all it's a fun game that is pretty simple to play and for the low price of $.99 can you really go wrong? Just keep in mind it is a limited time sale. The price will be increasing so grab it as soon as possible!

The last app we have for you today is a little game called Enigmo [iTunes Link]. Enigmo has been one of the most successful games within the App Store.

"Enigmo is the most unique game that you'll find for the iPhone or iPod Touch. It is a 3D puzzle game where you manipulate slides, bumpers, and other pieces to control streams of flowing liquid. Liquids (water, oil, and lava) fall from "droppers" and will bounce around the walls of a puzzle. You move and rotate the various puzzle pieces in order to divert the flow of the falling droplets so that they can reach their target. The faster you complete each level, the more bonus you will receive."

This is one great game with an even greater price. For a limited time you can now purchase this app for the cheap price of $.99! That's $3.00 off the regular price so don't delay!

Things have been pretty slow this week in terms of noteworthy apps to bring to your attention. Nevertheless , we did find you two gems on sale in a sea of apps. To learn more about these discounted apps, read on after the break!

First up we have a deal for a wildly popular game in the App Store, Mafia Live!. [iTunes Link] You can now score this game for the low price of $.99 for a limited time! For all of you who like pretending you are Tony Soprano, this is your game.

To do this, you need to buy guns and cars to battle other Mafia Families (other real players around the globe!). To progress in the game, you need to beat other Mafia Families (while gaining experience and taking their cash) and perform other missions to gain respect and hone your skills. People will offer you properties to buy in The City; bankers will want to help you launder your cash; and other families will be both jealous and resentful of your success.

Next up we have another game that has just been released by the creators of Mafia Live!, UNDEAD Live. [iTunes Link] Fans of Vampire and Werewolf movies rejoice, this is the game you've been looking for. It works the same way as Mafia Live!, just in a whole other world. And at the price of FREE for a limited introductory price can you really go wrong? We didn't think so either but act fast as this game will go back to it's regular price of $4.99 on March 29th.

This has been a good week so far for cheap apps on the App Store. Here are some of the highlights for the week.

If you are a MobileMe subscriber this first app is definitely one to check out, especially at the low price of FREE. MobileFiles [iTunes Link] is a very nifty app that allows you to access, view, and share files from your iPhone. The file viewing is pretty good, offering support for .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .tif, .tiff, .gif, .svg, .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx, .pdf, .htm, .html, .mht, .txt and .mp3. All files are viewed on the iPhone beautifully and even landscape mode has been included. First up is an application everyone should be aware of by now, BeeJiveIM. From Monday, March 2 until Sunday, March 8th you can purchase BeeJiveIM in the app store for the low price of $9.99, which is down from $15.99. Not a shabby deal, grab this one before the sale ends! You won't regret it.

Next we have a app we featured in a Quick App a while back, Resco Bubbles. You can now get Resco Bubbles for only $.99. This game is pretty addicting, well worth a buck!

With ACTSudoku, Houdah Software brings the popular Sudoku game to the iPhone and the iPod Touch. ACTSudoku allows you to solve 3 levels (easy, medium, hard) of Sudoku games. Its intuitive touch interface allows you to quickly set positive (green) and negative (red) markers to indicate which digits you still deem possible for a given cell. ACTSudoku may help you by blocking digits which are obviously no longer available and by setting positive markers for the remaining ones. You should further narrow down the possible digits by setting negative markers.

This first freebie, Wanted Poster Maker, [iTunes Link] is worth a look if you like making friends and family look funny while placing them on a Old West wanted poster [like our own Dead Eye Dieter - ed] ...

Create your own Old West Wanted posters! Select a picture or take a new one and customize the text. You can also customize the picture by adding mustaches, hats and many more cool props. Once you add a prop to your picture, you can scale and rotate it by using your fingers (pinch gesture). More props will be added in future free upgrades.

Next up is a app that our very own Alienwhere, from TiPb forums gave us a link to, MINI Liquid Assets. [iTunes Link]

It is based on a child's water game - you know the kind - where you have a toy filled with water, and you push buttons to force small items into/onto something else? (I had a basketball one, and one where you had to drop rings onto little posts as a kid...) I personally did the sound design (music/effects/etc) for the project, and we worked very hard to make it as fun as possible while sticking to the branding of the product and meeting the needs of our client. We designed our own physics engine and tweaked every aspect of it that we could to make it as true to form as possible, while still meeting our deadlines.

Last but not least, we have the current top free app in the App Store, Falling Balls. [iTunes Link] This is a very simplistic yet strangely addicting game. Worth checking out and best of all it's free!

This one’s a freebie. It’s actually based on a Flash experiment I did way back in October or 2001. As a matter of fact, I opened up that original FLA and ripped out the frame by frame graphics of the running stick figure guy, pasted them into Fireworks and saved them out as pngs for use in the iPhone game. So, despite what it looks like, this game has been in development for over 7 years

Well here are two apps to pick up just in time for the holidays. Raging Thunder and BeejiveIM have just dropped in price! [iTunes links]

Raging Thunder is a game you've probably heard of before here at TiPb. It dropped in price back in October and once again it has dropped ever further to a deal you should not pass up, $1.99 for a winter blow out sale!

Ok, this next app really needs no introduction, BeejiveIM.
