Apple has quietly updated its 12 Days of Christmas app for UK and European users. The app is always updated around this time of year but doesn't actually start to be of any use until December 26th. The app gives away apps, books and music content every day for 12 days and It is worth grabbing now just in-case you forge
Apple has released a pair of new iPad mini commercials, Books and Photos. Like the previous Piano commercial, they start off with both the full-sized iPad and the iPad mini side-by-side, both showcasing the same app. Then fingers take turns, alternately at first, then in coordination, choosing different books and photos, respectively.
The Great Cookie Thief - Starring Cookie Monster is an iPhone and iPad children's app that features a story of a town in the wild wild west that as a serious problem - a cookie thief! The members of the town have a poster of what the thief looks like (the Cookie Monster), and when someone shows up who looks similar to the poster, it's your job to determine if he is indeed the Cookie Thief by comparing the similarities of the poster photo and the suspect.
The Bible is the most read book in the world, and tiny Bibles with microscopic text have always been popular because of their portability. But, now, today, thanks to ultra-portable devices like the iPhone and iPad with their awesome Retina displays, and apps like Olive Tree's BibleReader, the Bible is more portable and easier to read than ever.
Another Monster at the end of this Book...Starring Grover and Elmo! is a fantastic interactive children's book for the iPhone and iPad. The story is about a book that Grover and Elmo encounter that is supposed to reveal another monster at its conclusion. Grover is opposed to reading it because books about monsters make him uncomfortable. Elmo, on the other hand, loves monsters and can't wait to get to the end of the book.

Today's children have iPad's, iPhones, computers, and all sorts of gadgets and electronics, so this book is about saying goodnight to these items instead of the traditional ones in Goodnight Moon.
