Samsung opens first North American Apple Store -- er, Samsung Store

Samsung has just opened the doors at its first retail store in North America and we'll give you one guess as to where the design inspiration came from. The store, which has just opened at Burnaby’s Metropolis at Metrotown, Vancouver looks awfully similar to any Apple Store you can walk into today. Minimalistic, open floorsplan, product demonstration benches, large screen TV’s demonstrating products and software. The technical staff are even wearing blue t-shirts similar to Apple’s genius bar staff.

How to copy, paste, and perform basic text editing on your new iPad

The new iPad has a virtual keyboard, along with all sorts of tips and tricks to make typing easier and faster. Because there are no CTRL or CMD keys, however, you can't copy, cut, or paste like you can on a Mac or Windows PC. Instead, there's a popup menu that appears at the tap -- or double tap, of a finger. Apple removes copy-cat apps from the App Store, doesn't address larger issues

Apple has removed a number of copy-cat apps from the App Store, specifically plagiaristic titles such as Tiny Birds, Temple Jump and Numbers With Friends created replicated by developer Anton Sinelnikov. Apple has made similar moves against shady developers in the past, taking down 1,000 apps from Molinker after they noticed fake 5-star reviews in the App Store.

Apple adds new iTunes info pop-up tabs... that look just like Android Market

Apple has snuck a couple of new features into their apps pages in iTunes, specifically an information popup with tabbed content remarkably similar to how Google presents Android Market details. We know that in the past Android has been accused of copying Apple, but like Notification Center this time it looks like Apple is the one caught with their fingers in the copy jar.
