T-Mobile announces Q3 2013 results, 540,000 iPhones sold, could have sold more!

Today is Q3 2013 earnings day for T-Mobile, and generally speaking things are looking good. Subscriber numbers are up again thanks in no small part to the Uncarrier program, and iPhone is doing pretty well in magenta. Headline numbers are 3.6 million smartphones sold with iPhone making up 15% of that. A bit of rough math puts that at around 540,000 iPhones sold on T-Mobile for the quarter, wherein we saw a new product launch towards the latter stages.

Apple seeing good growth in China, iPhone sales 25% up year-on-year

For the first time this year, Apple launched the new iPhone in China on launch day, and hand-in-hand with that growth for the area is definitely up. Chinese growth overall was 6%, and iPhone sales were up 25% year-on-year despite some pretty horrendous – and well publicised – supply constraints on the new iPhone 5s.

Apple experiencing "pleasing growth" for iPhone in emerging markets

It's earnings day for Apple, and beyond just numbers it's also one of only a handful of days in the year we get to hear from such dignitaries as CEO Tim Cook and CFO Peter Oppenheimer. During the earnings conference call, Oppenheimer specifically referenced Apple's performance in the emerging markets, describing "pleasing growth."

T-Mobile sees increased revenue and subscribers in Q2, iPhone doing well on the 'Uncarrier'

T-Mobile has today released their Q2 2013 financial results and it shows a good quarter for the 'Uncarrier' and its iPhone sales. While specific numbers of iPhones sold since T-Mobile first started selling it in April aren't clear, it does account for a pretty good percentage of new customers and upgrade sales.

Sprint reports Q2 2013 numbers, 1.4 million iPhone units sold

Today the earnings circus rolls around to Sprint, where it's their turn to announce some quarterly figures for the period of Q2 2013. Top of the line Sprint posted a pretty sizeable operating loss of $874 million. Of note in regards to the iPhone were mixed results; overall unit sales were down slightly on the previous quarter, but a good percentage of those sold were to new customers.

AT&T Q2 2013 results: $32 billion in revenue, 6.8 million smartphone sales

It's earnings season, and along with Apple reporting their results for Q3 2013, AT&T's released their earnings results for their second quarter (setting their own corporate calendars and all). For their part, AT&T is reporting $32.1 billion in revenue, up a tick (1.6% to be precise) from the same quarter last year.

Verizon sells 7.5 million smartphones in Q2, 3.8 million of them were iPhone

Verizon's Q2 earnings are out today, showing smartphone sales of 7.5 million units, with 51% of those being iPhone. That works out to about 3.8 million iPhones sold by Big Red in the quarter. Also of note is that LTE device sales sits at 6.4 million units for the same period of time, and that the LTE coverage now sits at 99% of the carriers 3G footprint.

T-Mobile Q1 2013 earnings are out showing good numbers for iPhone 5 sales

T-Mobile has released their Q1 2013 earnings report, and it shows good news for the carrier on the iPhone front. The iPhone 5 only launched officially on April 12, yet T-Mobile reports that they have sold around 500,000 units to new and existing customers. Perhaps coincidentally, they're also reporting an uptake in net customer additions for the quarter, standing at 576,000.
