The Evad3rs team have released another update for their hugely popular jailbreak tool known as evasi0n. The latest update sees mostly bug fixes surrounding boot up times of jailbroken devices; you should see a significant improvement with version 1.5. The update also offers a refreshed Cydia package list.
Apple has just released iOS 6.1.2 to address some small issues. That doesn't mean that an update can't render a jailbreak useless. Fortunately planetbeing is reporting that evasi0n appears to still be working under iOS 6.1.2. Obviously, you'll still need to hold off on updating until evasi0n is updated to recognize iOS 6.1.2 as a supported firmware.
We told you earlier in the week that the new jailbreak would be called Evasi0n and at that time the team behind the jailbreak were still working on the GUI (graphical user interface). The good news is that it is still on target for a Super Bowl Sunday release and the jailbreak has now entered its private beta testing phase and that means it is 80% complete.
It finally has an official name, the new jailbreak for iOS 6.1 will be called the Evasi0n jailbreak and again all signs point to it arriving this Sunday. The team which goes by the name of Evad3rs announced via twitter that its site is now live and it is putting the final touches to the jailbreak’s gui (Graphical User Interface.
The long rumored jailbreak for iOS 6.1 may arrive as soon as this Sunday. The jailbreak which has been in testing for a while now has been working fine with each beta release of iOS 6.1. The team needed to wait for the official release of iOS 6.1 so it could be fully tested with the final version of the firmware. Well the good news is that after yesterday’s official release of iOS 6.1 all is working fine and we may even see the jailbreak released this Sunday.
