Apple has just released iOS 6.1.2 to address some small issues. That doesn't mean that an update can't render a jailbreak useless. Fortunately planetbeing is reporting that evasi0n appears to still be working under iOS 6.1.2. Obviously, you'll still need to hold off on updating until evasi0n is updated to recognize iOS 6.1.2 as a supported firmware.
evasi0n has just been updated to version 1.1 to address issues affecting some users concerning long reboot times and problems that were causing the Weather app to crash. If you've already jailbroken on iOS 6 or 6.1, there's no need for you to do anything if you aren't having issues. If you, however, haven't jailbroken yet, you'll want to download the new version first.
It's that time of year again, jailbreak time! The new evasi0n jailbreak is compatible with any device running iOS 6 or higher, including the just released iOS 6.1. Yep, even the iPhone 5 and iPad mini are supported and completely untethered.
If you aren't sure how to jailbreak using evasi0n, follow along and we'll guide you through!
Whether you've got a new iPhone 5 and have been waiting patiently to get your jailbreak on or you've been waiting to update your older iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch for a working iOS 6 jailbreak, the wait is now over. The evasi0n jailbreak for iOS 6 and iOS 6.1 is now live and ready.
