Here's the idea, instead of covering up your iPhone screen with your fingers when you want to control a game or app, Sensus provides touch sensitive technology built right into the back and side of their new iPhone case. So, you can scroll or tap or do other gestures on the Sensus case, and leave your iPhone screen free for your eyes.
How does that sound? Can you see yourself controlling an on-screen game via the back of your iPhone?
The Vaja premium leather cases, including the Agenda for iPad, and the LP and Lèger cases for iPhone. The look is gorgeous, the feel is incredible, and the manufacturing quality is more than impressive. But do they work as good as they look and feel?
TAKTIK is an iPhone case that looks like it's built to withstand a full on Cylon invasion. From the makers of the LUNATIK iPod nano watch strap that helped kickstart Kickstarter onto our radar, it shares the same premium design and materials -- just at much bigger scale.
Pad & Quill are purveyors of fine, Minnesotan, handcrafted iPhone and iPad cases, namely the Little Black Book, Contega, and Octavo. Last summer we took look at them for the iPhone 4, iPad 2, and MacBook Air, and last month we looked at the updated Contega for the new iPad. But that wasn't all P&Q had up their sleeves for 2012. Not content with their existing Baltic Birch and Spanish leather concoctions, they went back to the bindery and returned with something richer and even higher end -- the Little Luxury Book for iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S and the Octavo Luxury for the new iPad.
Okay, this one got me right in my geek heart. An iPhone case with Han Solo on the back. Frozen in carbonite. Just like in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. I can't really do a proper review of this iPhone case. At least the case part. Don't get me wrong, it's serviceable enough -- a slim, well fashioned black skin case. But it's nothing more than that. And why should it be? This case is all about Solo.
The Glam Sparkle case for iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S is just the latest in a long line of beautiful, shiny cases from Case-Mate. They sent this back from CES 2012 for me to look at and what can I say, they know my weakness and they exploit it well!
The SGP Linear Blitz Case for iPhone 4S and iPhone is simply beautiful and the attention to detail is exquisite. The SGP Linear Blitz Case has rounded, two metallic-looking sides. The main, top part is finished in champagne gold while the the lower portion is finished in satin sliver. The back comes in red, gunmetal gray, and black. I took a look at the red version and... my, oh my.
Live at CES 2012, accessory maker Incipio shows us their next-generation Offgrid Pro case for iPhone. The big difference with the Offgrid Pro is that it has user-swappable batteries so that if you're going to be away from power for a really long time, you can back just as many 1700mAh cartridges as you need.
The Offgrid Pro will be available "soon", and will ship with two batteries, the charger, the case, and the band.
White Diamonds is continuing their line of artistically printed, Swarovski crystal emblazoned iPhone and iPad cases, and at CES 2012, they showed us just what they have in store this year. They fit both the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S now, and range from the simple yet elegant Arrow to the more elaborate pink grid.
Once again, it highlights how iPhone and iPad accessories have made the transition from utilitarian protection to fun, fancy fashion.
The Woogie by Griffin is a soft, plush, huggable, toy that doubles as an iPhone or iPod touch case. It's meant for children, to give them something to hold up their iPod touch for easy game playing or video watching, or to protect your iPhone if you're letting them use it.
