Rumors about Apple releasing iPhones with larger screens and multiple colors aren't anything new. This time Reuters is reporting that it could happen next year due to pressure from the market and rival handset makers, namely Samsung. According to Reuters, sources familiar with the matter say Apple could be looking at 4.7" and 5.7" models as well as up to 6 color choices instead of the standard black and white options.
The less expensive iPhone has been rumored for a long time -- a way for Apple to cater to emerging markets and entry-level, off-contract customers -- but so far it's remained little more than a myth. Today, case manufacturer Tactus claims to have an image of the rear casing for just that device.
It looks as if rumors are surfacing, once again, that Apple could be working on a cheaper iPhone that could hit the market as early as the end of this year. According to sources familiar with the matter, Apple has toyed with the idea in the past but ideas of producing an iPhone with a cheaper build are actually progressing this time.
BRG say they have confirmation from sources close to Apple that the next iPhone will be released in the fall of 2012, bringing in a completely new design with an iPhone 3GS-like bezel and all-aluminium back.
