Diabetics will soon be able to manage the condition using their iPhone or iPod touch thanks to a new accessory and app from iBGStar. The device consists of a glucose monitor that attaches to your iPhone or iPod touch via the 30 pin dock connector. The information is then used by the companion app that will soon be available from the App Store.
HoverBar is a new mount from Twelve South that turn iMac or Apple Cinema Display into a futuristic iPad 2-powered workstation. If you're less into Iron Man-style productivity, and more into simple utility, you can also mount HoverBar in the kitchen to help with cooking, in the bedroom for reading or video watching, or in the living room for couch-side information surfing.
Nike has announced the Nike+ Fuelband which gives iPhone users in-depth information on their daily physical activity. With development assistance from the likes of Lance Armstrong, Kevin Durant and Carmelita Jeter, the Nike+ Fuelband is able to keep track of your daily physical goals using a built-in accelerometer.
This week I am taking a look at Air Display by Avatron Software. You may have heard of Avatron as they make the great Air Sharing apps for iPhone and iPad. This app works like an external display for your Mac desktop or laptop (good news PC owners, it will work on a PC soon!).
