Every week a few of us from team TiPb, bloggers and forum crew alike, will bring you our current favorite, funnest, most useful App Store apps, WebApps, jailbreak apps, even the occasional accessory, web site, or desktop app if the mood strikes us. As long as they're iPhone (or iPod touch) related, they're fair game.

So who's on deck this week and what are our picks? Find out after the break!

Chad's Pick: Lumines

This week I am picking Q Entertainment's Lumines. This game came out a little while ago with poor fanfare due to the horrible controls. Good news? There is now and update that fixes these issues and this game is now a pleasure to play. You even have in-app purchasing for additional theme packs. The music is not as good as the original IMO, but still fun!! [$2.99 - iTunes link]

Chris' Pick: BitFlip

BitFlip is a matching/lineup style game in the style of bejeweled, where you try to match up tiles with the same color and shape. It is a little more complicated however, because in addition to swapping two tiles to line them up, you can also "flip" them to change the tiles. With two play modes, an easy interface, smooth graphics, a fun sound track, and a $1.99 price tag, it's a fun game for those that enjoy the Trism/Bejeweled style games. [$1.99 - iTunes link]

James' Pick: TripIt

As a consultant, I am on the road each week. In order to keep my life organized, I would always enter my trip details (hotel info, flight numbers, etc.) into calendar entries. TripIt makes my life easier by automatically creating my trip entries for me. The service syncs with various iPhone apps like FlightTrack Pro [$9.99 - iTunes link] and they even have their own free app. If you don't have any room for one more app, you can subscribe to an iCal feed right on your iPhone. Perfect for the road warrior. [Free - iTunes link]

Leanna's Pick: KENKEN

As someone who loves math and anything involving logical thinking, I am quite the sudoku fan. KENKEN took it to the next level. Just as with sudoku, each row and column must contain every number exactly once with the additional requirement that the bolded groups of blocks must add, subtract, divide, or multiply into a specific number. I love a great challenge and KENKEN is a great way to get that brain working and have fun at the same time. [$4.99 - iTunes link]

Matt's Pick: Pocket Tunes Radio

II was initially wary of purchasing Pocket Tunes as there where other apps at a much cheaper price, however, more recently Pocket Tunes made some significant changes and addons that blows all other competition out of the water - with the ability to play streams in the background, record your favorite stations(& play them back later), and the ability to play AAC+ audio ($3 in-app purchase, but highly recommended), and if you have sirus/XM subscription, pocket tunes will play that as well! Quite frankly I got rid of my XM subscription because I could use Pocket Tunes instead! [$6.99
- iTunes link]

Rene's Pick: NetNewsWire Free/Premium

I need to keep up with RSS, and I've tried every RSS reader on the iPhone. Each have their pros and cons, each makes a tradeoff somewhere between interface and feature sets, and while I wish I could just stuff several in a Hadron-esque collider and god-particle myself the one perfect reader, they just won't (and shouldn't) grant me access to CERN. So, I've been using NetNewsWire Premium a lot lately, simply because it gives me my Google Reader-synced news fast enough, lets me see the most recent updates across all my feeds, allows me to star and email out complete articles, and/or save them to Instapaper for later offline perusal. It's not perfect, but perfectly usable for me, for now.
[$4.99 - iTunes link] or [Free - iTunes link]

For those of you who are not familiar with our Apps for Less posts, they are a great way for us to point out a few good iPhone (and iPod touch) applications available in the App Store that are currently on sale, or ones that have come down to a price permanently that we feel are worth mentioning to our readers.

Today's first application happens to be one of my personal favorites - Pocket Tunes Radio. [iTunes Link] Not only does it have a ton of free internet radio stations you also get the ability to stream Sirius XM channels. And most of the channels that were omitted from the official Sirius XM application are actually available with Pocket Tunes Radio! Howard Stern anyone? Pocket Tunes Radio is now available for a limited time for $7.99 - $2 off it's regular price.

Next up we have a pair of retro games many of you old school gamers should enjoy. Namco's Galaga REMIX [iTunes Link] and Dig Dug REMIX [iTunes Link] are now on sale for $2.99 a piece! Namco has added a nice twist to two great classic games - the ability to play both the original arcade games and new remixed versions with new boss battles, power-up items, etc...

Last up for today we have another great iPhone game, ngmoco's Star Defense [iTunes Link] has dropped permanently to a low $2.99! This is one game that has been covered here at TiPb more than once, so be sure to check it out.

So there you have it, three great applications at low prices that hopefully some of you will take advantage of. If you happen to have an application in the App Store that is on sale and want everyone to know about it, feel free to contact us and let us know!

Chad's Pick: BeejiveIM 3.0.

What makes this IM/Chat client so great is the multiple services you can add (AIM, Google Talk, ICQ, Jabber, MSN/Windows Live, MySpace IM, Yahoo! and Facebook) and the great customization features. You can customize the background wallpaper for each chat, change chat bubble colors and more. Apple's Push Notification service works really well too, I can't praise it highly enough in this instance. If you need a mutiple -account chat client, Beejive is the way to go! - [$9.99 - iTunes link]

Chris' Pick: Zombieville USA

I have been spending some time this week playing an old favorite - Zombieville USA. I happened to open it up, saw my high score, and was on a quest to beat 714 zombies. Last night, around 12:32am, I finally got 726 zombies killed! [$1.99 - iTunes link]

James' Pick: iTunes App Store

Since I have been traveling for the last few weeks, I have been in cities where I am not all that familiar with the surroundings. Enter the App Store. With the ability to find new apps that help me in my current city, I was able to find out of the way places to eat, the BART schedule and tracker in San Francisco and a new game or two to pass the time.

Jeremy's Pick: Pocket Tunes Radio

Forget paying that $3 a month fee to Sirius XM and still listen to everything they have to offer including Howard Stern. Pocket Tunes does it all for a single fee of $9.99. Well worth it. (Note: you must have a Sirius XM subscription) [$9.99 - iTunes link]

Leanna's Pick: AT&T Navigator

I've been using AT&T Navigator for a couple days now and am rather impressed. It calculates routes quickly and the ETA is very accurate as well. You can also search for places nearby or by name and of course create favorite places. I've always been hesitant to get a navigation system because I though Google maps with GPS was good enough... I was wrong! [Free + $9.99/month - iTunes link]

Matt's Pick: iPhone 3GS Oleophobic Screen

Since getting the iPhone 3GS, I have sat down with it while eating,
checking emails & Twitter, all the while sliming up the screen with my
oily-chicken fingers. After eating I can simply wipe the screen onto
my jeans & viola! the screen is clean. This is one of my favorite
things about the new iPhone 3Gs!

Rene's Pick: 1Password Pro

I've already picked 1Password, and explained the reasons why. Now I'm picking 1Password Pro for pretty much the same reasons I did last time but now with the added benefit of iPhone 3.0 enabled copy and paste goodness. Instead of using the in-app browser, you can still keep your passwords locked up safely and now just copy, switch to Mobile Safari, and paste them in. You can even use the enhanced javascript-based Mobile Safari integration to automate the transition process. And they promise more to come (check out the video how-to). Can't wait. [$5.99 - iTunes link]
