New iPad launching March 23 in 25 additional countries including Italy, Spain, Ireland, The Netherlands, Mexico

Apple has confirmed that the second wave of the new iPad rollout will begin Friday, March 23, in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau, Mexico, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.

No word yet on whether or not pre-orders will be available, nor has Apple updated the international websites or released specific pricing information for each of those countries yet.

We'll keep an eye open and update as soon as the information is available.

The new iPad launches on March 16 in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland and the UK; along with Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.

Unlocked iPhone 4S launches in U.S., international iPhone 4S launches in Hong Kong, South Korea, and more

Apple's iPhone 4S is now available factory unlocked in the U.S. from Apple.com. Why it took until November when countries like Canada and the UK got unlocked models at launch, who knows? But if you've been waiting to go contract and SIM-lock free, now's your chance! (Reminder: Only the GSM/AT&T version is available unlocked, not the CDMA/Verizon/Sprint version).

Apple has also launched the iPhone 4S in 13 more countries, namely Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, El Salvador, Greece, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Malta, Montenegro, New Zealand, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Romania and South Korea.

iPad 2 hits 25 more countries this Friday, March 25

There will be no delays as Apple has just confirmed iPad 2 will be available this Friday, March 25 in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK. Just like the US launch, online orders will begin a 1am (they don't say which time zone?) and in store purchases will be available starting 5pm local time.

While competitors are still struggling to catch up with our first iPad, we’ve changed the game again with iPad 2,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We’re experiencing amazing demand for iPad 2 in the US, and customers around the world have told us they can't wait to get their hands on it. We appreciate everyone’s patience and we are working hard to build enough iPads for everyone.”

Apple also announced that iPad 2 will be available in Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and additional countries in April.

Apple's iPad launched in 11 more countries today, namely Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Malaysia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, South Korea, Sweden, and Taiwan. While many of you snuck them out of the US or other countries early on, many more are just getting them for the first time. Did you get a new iPad today, are you planning on getting one over the holidays? Let us know in the comments!

Get updated: Chances are your new iPad came with iOS 4.2.1 but just in case the shipments went out early and you got iOS 3.2 instead, make sure you plug it into iTunes see if there's an iOS 4.2.1 software update waiting for you. Download it and let iTunes do its thing. We don't recommend using an iPhone or iPod backup to restore from -- it can make things glitchy. Set it up as new iPad now and save yourself some headaches later. (And hey, if you like tips like this, check out our tips section for more!)

Actors Paid To Line Up for iPhone 3G in Poland !?

This one should get the iPhone-haters, WinMob Supporters, RIM Followers, and Treo Elderly (?) to come out of the woodworks. According to one of those reputable, old-timer print publications, Orange Poland has reportedly paid actors to line up for Poland's release of our favorite toy, the iPhone 3G.

"We have these fake queues at front of 20 stores around the country to drum up interest in the iPhone," a spokesman said

Supposedly it's part of a marketing campaign to drive up interest in the iPhone 3G. I'm assuming the logic goes if people see that people want it, they'll want it themselves...riiight. The competing carrier (Era aka T-Mobile Poland) which also distributes the iPhone 3G reportedly has no lines so I'm not sure if creating lines will create demand. In fact, we at TiPb are fairly certain that many of us hate lines.

iPhone 3G International: Launch 2 Commences + MTS in Russia!

Back on July 11, the iPhone 3G launched in 22 countries. Along with much fanfare, hippie attention seekers, lines that would stretch out for weeks on end, and constantly crashing servers. But since Apple sold about a million of the hot new handsets that weekend, you just knew they were going to do it again.

"Today" brings phase 2, where 21 more countries are supposed to come online with the iPhone 3G. (Officially Aug. 22nd, which may or may not be "today" to you depending on your timezone). How are things going so far? Reader Anton was gracious enough to send in this report (thanks Anton!):

Now it's midnight in Estonia and I'm at the iphone launch event. No special frenzy, about 1000 people in one supermarket, a couple of DJs and a lot of light. There's just two plans offered: us$55 and $89. First one includes 100 minutes, 100 SMS and 100 Mb; the other one - 250 of each. Every extra megabyte will cost $.25 and $.21 respectively. The phone itself is $267/8Gb and $396/16Gb with $55 plan and $149/8Gb and $278/16Gb with $89 plan.

Ouch! When will telcos worldwide realize what Henry Ford did almost 100 years ago. Mass pricing leads to mass adoption which leads to mass profits. Sheesh!

And if your market still doesn't have the iPhone 3G, just remember that Apple promised another 30+ countries -- a grand total of 70+ -- for 2008, which is now set to include Russia via MTS. That pretty much leaves China standing alone as the last major market sans carrier deal... for now.

iPhone 3G International: 21 Countries Launching on Aug. 22

20 countries launched the iPhone 3G back on July 11 (okay, zut, France straggled a bit), and Apple hopes to launch some 21 more just 6 short weeks later -- only minus some iTunes authentication failures and supply shortages, no doubt.

From iLounge, we learn who's next:

Romania, India, the Philippines, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay, four additional countries will see launches. Latvia and Lithuania will see the device launched on TeliaSonera’s LMT and Omnitel services, respectively, while T-Mobile and Orange will launch the iPhone in Slovakia, and SingTel will begin offering the device in Singapore.

This will bring the grand total to some 43, with almost 30 more still slated by close of year, 2008. Looks like Apple may need those 40 million units after all, doesn't it?

iPhone Risk: Orange EMEApalooza!

French iPhone exclusive, Orange, has just added to the iPhone country count by announcing a deal to bring the (presumably next-gen 3G version) device to:

Austria, Belgium, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Jordan, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Switzerland and Orange’s African markets later this year.

Belgium and Romania are said to be exclusive, but this brings Dominican Republic (maybe), Egypt, Portugal, Switzerland, and South Africa (maybe) into the multi-carrier (co-exclusive or non-exclusive) column and for the first time suggests a previously exclusive region, Austria, may no longer be exclusive!

France Telecom spokesman Bertrand Deronchaine said Orange will be the exclusive iPhone provider in Belgium and Romania, with co-exclusive or non-exclusive deals in other countries. He declined to offer more details about the arrangement.

What might that portent, if anything, for the US, UK, France, Germany, and Ireland?
