What color iPhone 6 do you want? [Poll]

What color iPhone 6 do you want?

What color iPhone 6 do you want? Forget size. Forget RAM or storage capacity. Forget 802.11ac or LTE-Advance. Forget all the specs. Forget everything and anything besides the hue of the next iPhone, what it will look like in your hand, how it will look when the light catches it. What color will it be?

The original iPhone came only in black and aluminum. The iPhone 3G introduced white, and the iPhone 5s, gold. The iPod nano, iPod shuffle, and iPod touch have all had more color options. Currently the iPod touch comes in red, blue, yellow, black and white. The iPhone 5c offers green, pink, yellow, blue, and white. Should those also be options for the iPhone 6? Should Product Red?

If you could have your iPhone 6 in any color at all, what would it be?

Which social networks do you use? [Poll]

Which social networks do you use?

You can find me @reneritchie most of the time. That's because the social network I use most is Twitter. I use it on my iPhone on the go, on my Mac while I'm working, and on my iPad while I'm reading or browsing. I use it to follow a few people I know and a lot of people in my industry. I seldom look at RSS anymore. To find out what's going on, I use Twitter. To keep in touch with real-life family and friends, and a few other people in the industry who prefer it, I use Facebook on the iPhone or the web. I use Instagram as well — also @reneritchie — from my iPhone, and sometimes share to Twitter and Facebook from there. And... that's about it. Only not really. Let me explain...

I do use Facebook but I don't put a lot of personal information there. I don't store a lot of photos, I don't check in, and don't do anything much at all but share the occasional story, and like and comment on the occasional post or link. That's more than I do on LinkedIn though. Mostly because I can't find anything else to do on LinkedIn. Likewise Pinterest.

Google+ I use because Google's bundled Hangouts there and that's our office video conferencing tool and what we use for our podcasts. Otherwise, I share the occasional story there too, and the occasional +1 or comment, and I keep up with my Google- and Android-invested friends. Like LinkedIn, however, I'm hard pressed to find anything else much to do there. And... that's about it. Seriously this time. Kinda.

4 or 4.7 or 5.5-inches — What's the perfect iPhone 6 size for you? [Poll]

4 or 4.7 or 5.5-inches — What's the perfect iPhone 6 size for you?

If Apple holds to pattern the iPhone 6 will be coming out way this fall, and if rumors are true, there'll be not only a larger size, but two larger sizes to choose from. I've been writing about a bigger iPhone for years, and why I think it makes sense for Apple to do it this year. But what happens when it's a reality? What happens when you walk into an Apple Store and see a 4-inch, 4.7-inch, and 5.5-inch iPhone all sitting on the table. Which one do you choose?

To keep things simple, let's imagine the iPhone 6 feature set is locked. You get the same camera, sensors, radios, colors, finishes, materials, and other specs regardless of which size you choose. You're picking based on display size and display size alone.

What are you most looking forward to at the iPhone event? [Poll]

What do you want most from the iPhone event?

Apple's 2013 iPhone event is only hours away. We've recapped the history of the iPhone for you. We've imagined the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c for you. And we've given you a complete iPhone event preview. We've done pretty much all we can do. Now it's up to Apple, and, of course, to you.

Apple has to pull off the show. Tim Cook, Phil Schiller, Craig Federighi, Eddy Cue, and whomever else takes the stage have to take the stage and own it, show off their new iPhone lineup and wow us, stick the landing and fully kick their biggest business once again out the door.

You're the ones who are going to have decide how they did, whether they wowed you, and what you're going to buy from them this fall and holiday seasons. And you get to start now. What are you most looking forward to at the event? Is it the new iPhone 5s, perhaps in gold? The iPhone 5c in one of a half-dozen bright plastic shells? Is it iOS 7? Something more specific, like the fingerprint scanner or iTunes Radio? Or are you holding out hope for new iPods? Vote in the poll up top and give me the details in the comments below!

How's your battery life on iOS 6.1? [Poll]

How's your battery life with iOS 6.1?

iOS 6.1 has been out for a while now -- and iOS 6.1.1 just hit for the iPhone 4S -- so we're wondering how your battery life is doing? It seems every time Apple pushed out an update, some people get better battery life, others get worse battery life, and many just stay the same.

Part of this good be fresh starts with fresh versions cleaning out cruft that has built up for a while, or it could be bit-rot from old installs backed up and restored far too often. If your battery life is horrible, we have a bunch of really useful iOS 6 battery life fixes for you to try out. Either way, we want to know what you're experiencing!

Let us know how your battery life is doing, whether you set up as a new iPhone or iPad, whether you're jailbroken, and whether or not you have tons of push notifications going off all the time, or if you're running with almost none.

Which social networks do you use regularly on your iPhone and iPad?

Which social networks do you use regularly on your iPad?Which social networks do you use regularly on your iPhone?

There are several popular social networks on the web and they all have iPhone apps, and many have iPad apps (or the iPhone app can be used in 2x mode on the iPad). Which ones do you use, and if you have both and iPhone or iPod touch and an iPad, do you use them all the same on both? Are there any you prefer using on on iPhone as opposed to iPad, or vice versa? Any you use on one you don't use at all on the other?

What Do You Think of the iPad?

Ok, quick take: what do you think of the iPad? Is it truly the "third category" between your laptop and your iPhone? It is overblown, overpriced, and overhyped? Or is it like the iPod: something most people thought was "kind of neat" at first, but which ended up revolutionizing the consumer industry?

Vote below, but more importantly, expand in the comments: mind blown?
