Purported iPad 5 case again points to iPad mini-like design

A photograph of a purported iPad 5 case has appeared, and it again points to a redesigned in the form of the iPad mini. The case was obtained by 9to5Mac, apparently from it's manufacturer, Minisuit. Back in January, iMore created a rendering based on what we'd learned about the iPad 5 and its iPad mini-like design, and shortly thereafter some unverified pictures emerged of a supposed iPad 5 back plate bearing a very similar design. Just over a week ago, iMore created another rendering based on more information about the iPad 5.

Rumored entry level iPhone rumored to have a plastic chassis

The rumor that Apple is working on releasing a budget entry level iPhone for emerging markets just won’t go away. This morning, in a report by hit and miss rumor site Digitimes, it is claimed that the low end design may adopt plastic instead of the high quality materials used in its usual model.

The iPad mini rumors will not go away and today's story centers around where it will actually be manufactured. According to a "Chinese reliable source", the iPad mini will be produced solely in Brazil. It is thought that all of the tooling and design work has already been carried out in China.

Apple TV 3 rumored to be readying for March launch

Apple getting ready to ditch the traditional iPhone, iPad, and iPod dock connector

An updated "micro dock" would make room for bigger batteries, 4G radios, and other iPhone and iPad components far more important in a PC free world.

iMore has learned that Apple is getting ready to ditch the dock connector as it's currently sized and implemented on iPods, iPhones, and iPads. The reason isn't anything political, like a new desire to conform to an outdated micro-USB standard, but typically Apple: to save space inside the iPhone 5 for what are now more important components.

Microsoft’s Office for iPad caught in the wild, could be heading to the App Store very soon

Back in November, The Daily claimed that Microsoft was working on a version of its hugely popular “Office” application for the iPad.
